Why don't more amusement parks have "family" restrooms?

I am a single father of two young daughters, and they're getting to the age where I can't take them into the men's bathroom, yet, I'm not comfortable just letting them go by themselves into the women's bathroom. Most amusement parks I've been to don't have "family friendly" bathrooms like this......Why?

  1. There would be too many people that want to into them.

  2. As a single mom who has been through this same situation in reverse (I have a son), I'd tell you upfront that you are WAY better off letting your girls go into a ladies room alone! Moms know, when they see little girls in there alone, that there is probably a Daddy waiting nervously outside and I will ALWAYS help or at least ask if they need help getting in or reaching the soap or paper towels, etc. Women pedophiles are rare. If my son doesn't show up in 2 minutes, I have no problem walking into the men's room for him!

  3. The guy who answered before me made no sense...

Anyway, as a father of a little girl I am right there with you... The problem is that most places don't think about the possibility of single dads. They have baby changing stations in women's restrooms but not men's...They have WIC which is for WOMEN infants and children. They have all kinds of resources for single moms, but single dads get the shaft.. It's unfair... women get everything including half our stuff.

  4. It is a sign of the times. Most parks were designed 30 to 40 years ago. Their were not a lot of single men with children. If you have problems are a park employ for help.
