  1. hasn't that already happened there is more Europeans here now working than ever

  2. People from Poland and other former "Eastern bloc" countries have been "taking advantage of freedom of movement of workers" and emigrating to Western Europe for years now, driving down real wages of workers in England, France, Germany, Belgium, etc.

  3. More and more workers are taking advantage of this freedom and plunging the working force of some less educated countries into turmoil and poverty.  Example:The average citizen of France may speak 5 languages, moves to Spain and is hired by a hotel chain in place of the local worker, who is now designated into garden work. This is not just. It was a nice idea, but it favors an elite group and not your everyday citizen.

  4. The argument put by Liberal leader on Five Live this morning that the EU enables Brits to go to nice countries like Spain  and retire there rather than having to stay in Britain is bollocks!

The facts are Brits have been able to go to Spain or anywhere they wanted to before the Common Market had ever been thought of and live there and retire there if they so wish. The EU has not changed that situation in any way. But what the EU enables is for people in low wage countries like Poland, Rumania or Lithuania to move temporarily to high wage paying countries like Britain and take the jobs there and so send more money home to their families.

The reason a lot of Poles who were working in UK are now going back to Poland is because the Pound is falling against both the Euro and against the Zloty for the first time ever, whereas wages in Poland have shot up to almost same level as British wages. So it is no longer so financially advantageous for them to work in Britain.

If this trend continues less people will want to "take advantage of freedom of movement within the EU"
