  1. Most of us came from countries where Christianity destroyed our roots and traditions and imposed its own. That first major break followed years later by disrupting the family by immigrating to the US  further isolated us from our original roots, culture, and family bonds. Time and progess finished the job.

  2. I've wondered about that myself.  Is it because after the war, families scattered to the four corners?  Is it because people have lost faith in the bibles values?  Is it because we now think we  "evolved" from a slug so people really are just an accident of nature?

  3. Maybe because they lost their culture,do not follow religions, and think more about themself.

  4. I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean closeness, doing things together and sticking up for each other? If so many do. Others are not  close. My family was sort of in the middle, we were kind of close, but there were 3 kids and who had very different likes, interests and did not socialize in the same circles much as we got into our teens. I knew families who did almost everything together, siblings who went places together, etc. Other families barely spoke to each other. Often it's the parents, or parent who lead the way to make the family cohesive or not.

  5. Because that's an abstract subjective concept.

  6. because hardly any are "true families". :..(
