Why don't my subwoofers work?

right now i am running a 600w Baja amp through two 10'' MTX thunders with a peak RMS of 750w. however, my subs frequently just stop working and i think it is because of the amp but i am not sure. Every time they do work, the amp would get very very hot and you couldn't even touch it. This is the second one of these amps i have had (I bought the warranty after the first one died so i wouldn't have to pay for a new one) and i was wondering if anyone knew whether the amp or something else is the problem?

  1. Your subs should have a rms rating and a peak rating. Your amp should have both ratings as well. Make sure that your rms rating on your subs does not exceed the rms rating on your amp. The peak rating dosent mean a whole lot. also check to be sure your wire connections arent rattleing loose, ive had that happen to me before too.
