Why don't news channels report when a horse dies on the tract?

just watched the local news and they talked about the kentuckey derby but did not mention anything about having to kill eight bells.are they forbidden to say anything?

  1. Because the industry does an excellent job in angling storylines away from breakdowns, the over-medication of racers and runners who literally go from the racetrack to slaughterhouses in countries bordering the U.S. in under 24 hours.

    The racing industry is rotting from within and those with the power to make change just don't care.


  2. When the Derby results were first announced, there was some confusion and a delay in reporting all of the details about Eight Belles.  No one is forbidden to talk about the tragedy at the Derby.  Kudos to Big Brown and Eight Belles for running a great race.  She will be missed!
