  1. We dont have more storms, and because it isnt happening..

People said global warming would cause storms worse than Katrina, and more often, Yet i dont see them. Last hurricane i saw was in Mexico last year or something.

  2. Because of facts like this

The Roquefort caves in France have been used to age their famous cheese for a thousand years. No noticeable increase in temp has ever been noticed. The aging which depends on temp has produced a consistent product for a thousand years.

The caves are integral to the globe, so if the globe was warming the caves would have warmed....They haven't.

    Q.E.D.

  3. Some interesting facts.

    1. During most of the past 2,000 years, the temp has been about the same or higher. Currently, we are barely over the average for the last 2,000 years.

    2. During the medieval warm period (820 – 1040 AD), Greenland supported farming. Those areas previously farmed are now covered in glaciers. Obviously the melting and reformation of glaciers is a cyclical occurrence.

    3. The earth experienced a little ice age which ended around the late 1860's or so. This is about the time man started recording temperatures. This would be like measuring a lake depth after a severe drought, then worrying about it flooding as it rose to normal levels.

    4. The earth has been warming for the last 10,000 years, since the last major glacier time period. Also, for most of the last 1 billion years, the earth had NO glaciers or ice coverage.

    5. The AGW theory states that CO2 is the primary driver of temperature. They arrived at this idea because they did not know of anything else which could cause it. But during the 70's and during the current decade, temperatures dropped while CO2 continued to rise. This means that natural occurrences are driving temp, not CO2.

    6. The Pacific Decadal Oscillation and sun spots provides a much better correlation to earths' temperature than CO2 levels ever have.

    7. Polar Bears are experiencing a population boom. Coke sales in the arctics are through the roof. Polar Bears have been around for thousands of years, and remember, we are only at the average for the last 2,000 years. They lived through all the previously warmer climates.

    8. The glaciers have been melting now for over 10,000 years. the current rate of melting is similar to previous melting.

    9. There is no consensus on AGW. This was a lie that has been propagated by the media.

    10. Yes we emit CO2 into the atmosphere and it is a greenhouse gas, but, we only contribute about .28% of all the greenhouse effect. Water vapor makes up about 95% of the greenhouse effect. CO2 and other trace gases round out the greenhouse gases at about 5% for all of them. Of that 5%, only 3% is CO2, and most of that is natural. Again, our contribution to the greenhouse effect is a paltry .28%

    11. The spread of disease is not attributed mainly to temperature. If this were the case, Florida would be a giant festering disease ridden cesspool. Economic standing is the primary determining factor in the spread of disease. Poor cultures can not fight the disease or eradicate the pests like more successful nations.

    12. Natural climate disasters (hurricanes, cyclones, etc) have never been scientifically linked to global warming (whether natural or man made). Also, we have NOT experienced an increase in the number or strength of storms.

  4. I believe in global warming for one thing. Why I don't think that people don't believe in global warming is because they think that the charts from the past tell the difference. My friend doesn't believe in global warming so that is a true answer. My point is that if the air is dirty, clean it up! Who cares if it causes global warming! I mean really! Get to the bottom line for gods sake! I still believe in global warming though. :-)

  5. Because people know the difference between weather and climate.

We can by NO MEANS control the weather. Storms will happen, I'm pretty sure it's natural. (If you say one thing about the earthquake in China in relation to Global Warming, I pity you)

We just got out of one of the coldest winters in decades. North Carolina (Where I live) went under 10 degrees F at one point in winter. It's total bull.

People are finally starting to open there eyes. They're starting to realize that Al Gore has sadly misinformed the public.

I agree, the Earth is Polluted. It isn't causing global warming, because it technically started warming up a bit about 5 years before Carbon Pollution became a "Problem".

(I use quotes because if a molecule doesn't have Carbon in it, it isn't organic . IT DOESN'T HURT OUR ENVIRONMENT!... although Carbon Monoxide, sure.)

  6. These globules are stable in NaCl and urea solutions at concentrations that dissolve or disrupt other constituents of yolk, The isolated globules are about 1% of the dry yolk of hen's and duck's eggs but about 8% emu's-egg yolk. Most of these globules are less than 2 micrometer in diameter. Electron micrographs of sections show a preponderance of globules in the range 0.125-0.25 micrometer, each with a thick shell surrounding a feature-less anterior. Globules with the same appearance were seen in sections of unfractionated yolk. Two kinds of larger particles were also observed: (i) particles with a distinct outer membrane and a vesiculated interior; (ii) featureless spheres, possibly of lipid. The insoluble yolk globules comprise protein (8-11% by dry wt.), phospholipid (31-35% total lipid), triacylglycerols (49-53%), cholesterol (8%) and cholesteryl esters (2-3%); the variations being among species.

yeah, i believe in globule warming... eat scrambled eggs regularly.

  7. Because of dumb people like you who make it seem like you dont know what youre talking about by spelling it globule instead of global. wow

  8. Your contention that the "weather" is changing has little to do with science or climate.  I suspect you haven't been living too many years.  The weather and climate always changes.  It changes from night to day, from season to season and from year to year.  Over thousands of years it changes as well.  We are in an ice age with periods of glaciation and interglacial periods.  We are currently in an interglacial period to our great fortune.  As a geologist, I understand that change is the norm.  Climates change.  Sea levels change. That is the way it has been since man was walking this earth.

  9. GLOBAL WARMING IS NOT A PROBLEM!!!!

dudes...its a phase thing.  a while ago, we were having global cooling.  its just something that the earth and stuff does every once in a while.

  10. It is a scam & master brainwash.

    My 2 cents.

  11. You mean global warming.  Your right the weather is changing it has actually been getting colder since 2005.  There has been more snow in the past few winters.  Also in reality most scientists do not believe there is enough evidence to prove that global warming is actually occurring.

Brian B. you say that alot of people don't want to "admit" to global warming because they have invested money into the oil companies.   Ok then how about the fact that Al Gore has invested in a lot of this companies making stuff that's "better" for the environment.  Don't you think that may be a conflict of interest there to?   Also  a lot of GW believers agree w/ GW skeptics on the part that the earth has warmed and cooled.  However they say there is proof that humans are speeding up the warming process. Now I would just like to mention that there has only been maybe 20 yrs of "accurate" temperature measurement, and ice cover measurement.  Now I would like to ask all GW believers how they can without hesitation say that is plenty of time to record accurate trends in warming and cooling.    Humans will in no way destroy the earth, there have been many instances of major disasters, such as volcano eruptions and nuclear meltdowns.            Now I will address the reason that I mentioned that fact.   I am trying to prove that  there has been a lot worse things happen to earth and unbelievably the earth has recovered!  Example 1.  Mt. St. Helens, when that volcano and all the other volcano's in this world erupt that spew all sorts of very dangerous gasses into the air, not to mention all the "destruction" the lava does to the land.  However, given time the land around the volcano's start to show "signs of life" trees and plants start growing back, and eventually wildlife moves back into the air.  Now I'll give an example of a nuclear incident that occurred, the nuclear meltdown at Chernoybll.  Whenever the meltdown occurred it killed plant life and wildlife and of course people in a large area surrounding the power plant.  However guess what, now that land is also showing "signs of life",  the trees and plants and wildlife have all magically started to come back.  There is NOTHING humans can do that will permanetly destroy the planet.  Don't you think a nuclear meltdown would cause more pollution than CO2.  CO2 is NOT the enemy people exhale Co2!  Co2 is necessary in order to sustain life!!!

Dear Nick Jonas Girl, I sure do get a chuckle every time I read your "answer".  I would like to say first that the polar bears were not added to the endangered species list, it was admitted that the polar bears are not endangered, because there population number's are still going strong.  Also polar bears don't have to have ice in order to survive!  By the way you know that picture of the cute polar bear floating on a piece of ice, well I hate to inform you that the picture was taken in August, the person that took that picture was an Australian student that went on a trip to either Alaska or Canada I'm not for sure.

  12. People who say its a phase we are going through are partially correct but mostly wrong.  We are going through a phase of warming but we have increased the rate by adding greenhouse gases.  The natural cycles usually occur on a scale of thousands of years but humans have changed that to hundreds of years.

The question on why some people don't believe it comes down to an ideological stance.  It seems since it has to do with the environment most people think its made up I guess.  Also, many people have invested alot of money into the oil industry.  Money changes alot of peoples minds.

    amys4x4explorer:

I never said that we are going to destroy the earth... life will always prevail and come back.  In the geologic past there has been events such as meteors that have wiped out 99.99% of life and we still have life today.  What the problem is that it is going to change the world wide global climate.  This will affect crop growth due to areas that are currently cropland going through more frequent droughts.  Also, a consequence is many costal cities being inundated by rising sea level.  The majority of our population lives near the cost and there are several cities that lie below sea level.  So I am saying that our infrastructure is built for this certain climate and if that is changed significantly then we will have to pay millions to mitigate the problems.  Why dont we just cut down on our greenhouse emissions?

Also what is your definition of 'accurate' temperature measurement'.

  13. Small, dense, round cloud of dust and gas that absorbs radiation and appears as a black blob when seen against the background of a bright nebula or star field; also known as Bok globule after Bart Bok who first drew attention to them and suspected they might be protostars. Their exact status, however, remains unclear. While it is generally assumed they are the cores of fragments of molecular clouds that are in the process of collapsing to form individual stars, they could also be fragments that have become hung up by a combination of internal magnetic and turbulent pressure and are failed star-forming cores.

Globules are the smallest and most regular features of the interstellar medium. Typically they have a mass of 20 to 100 solar masses and a diameter of 1 to 2 light-years across. Having no internal heat source, globules are, surprisingly, among the coldest known naturally-occurring phenomena with a temperature only a few degrees above absolute zero.

    What globule warming?

But seriously, if there was GLOBAL warming, we would actually see a reduction in storms, especially hurricanes because of the wind shear cutting across a storm like that reduces the storm's strength.

  14. It does not make sense.  More than 95% of the total milk lipid is in the form of a globule ranging in size from 0.1 to 15 um in diameter. These liquid fat droplets are covered by a thin membrane, 8 to 10 nm in thickness, whose properties are completely different from both milkfat and plasma. The native fat globule membrane (FGM) is comprised of apical plasma membrane of the secretory cell which continually envelopes the lipid droplets as they pass into the lumen. The major components of the native FGM, therefore, is protein and phospholipids. The phospholipids are involved in the oxidation of milk. There may be some rearrangement of the membrane after release into the lumen as amphiphilic substances from the plasma adsorb onto the fat globule and parts of the membrane dissolve into either the globule core or the serum. The FGM decreases the lipid-serum interface to very low values, 1 to 2.5 mN/m, preventing the globules from immediate flocculation and coalescence, as well as protecting them from enzymatic action.

It is well known that if raw milk or cream is left to stand, it will separate. Stokes' Law predicts that fat globules will cream due to the differences in densities between the fat and plasma phases of milk. However, in cold raw milk, creaming takes place faster than is predicted from this fact alone. IgM, an immunoglobulin in milk, forms a complex with lipoproteins. This complex, known as cryoglobulin precipitates onto the fat globules and causes flocculation. This is known as cold agglutination. As fat globules cluster, the speed of rising increases and sweeps up the smaller globules with them. The cream layer forms very rapidly, within 20 to 30 min., in cold milk.  Anthropogenic globule warming is a myth.

  15. I think it's because the dont want to believe it's happening. Global warming is a long process, that has been building up for a very long time. We pollute our air, and in return, we are starting to cause global warming. The polar bears are loosing ice, and the weather has been changing a lot lately. Animals are dying because their climates are changing. I believe the polar bear was even added to the endangered species list. People just believe what they want. You either believe it, or you dont. But there have been many studies to prove, and disprove global warming.
