Why don't people go the speed limit?

I live in Colorado Springs, and the I am constantly flabbergasted by the number of people who drive slower than the speed limit, significantly slower. 30 in a 45, 60 in a 75, and all manners in between. Yelling at them as I drive by isn't very satisfying, because they can't hear me and it doesn't change anything, so I'm trying to come up with a list of legitimate reasons people drive lower than the speed limit.

I've come up with:

Old people - can't see/grew up with 55mph speed limits

Transporting a cake - bumps ruin the frosting

Transporting someone with a broken bone - bumps hurt person

Just got on the highway

Exiting the highway soon

Truckers

Trailers/U-hauls/RVs/etc

Hyper-milers

Passing someone on the side of the road

Jeeps/convertibles with tops off/down

Cruise control/speedometer variations.

These reasons don't account for the majority of people, so please supply your own ideas.

Slowing down because a cop is sitting there taking speeds is NOT a legitimate reasons to go ten below! It's dumb, they aren't going to pull you over for going the speed limit.

I think that sometimes people think that they can get away with it so they dont care.

Some think its "cool" to go over.

I have noticed that people on cell phones are bad to drive under the speed limit. I got behind a guy one day going 40 in a 55. I thought sure it was a older person but when I went to pass I noticed that it was a young guy talking on his cell phone. People on cell phones always seem to drive under the speed limit or they can't seem to keep a constant speed. It annoys the c**p out me especially when I go to pass on a four lane highway and they speed up.

  I love it... willy nilly..... I think anyone that uses the term willy nilly automatically gets grouped in the old people segment.

  I think a lot of them are cell phone users and the majority of them are just constipated although that may also go with the old segment not sure on that.

Your young and in a hurry to go nowhere life is to short to be racing willy-nilly everywhere. Time management is what life is about. If your in such a hurry to get where your going leave earlier then you will not look like a fool ranting and raving driving down the road. The best part of driving the speed limit is watching fools in a hurry pass everyone on the road to sit at the next red light where I meet them again in a couple of seconds.

Yeah, seriously!!!!

I am a speeder and I understand that not all people speed.  But why can't they at least drive the speed limit!?!  It is dangerous to drive slower than the speed limit, too.
