Why don't people like Djokovic?

my reason is because he plays boring stuff and does not have imagination that makes you go "wow!" and just generally there ain't anything that stands out in terms of his technical style.

Having studied human psychology and behavioral science, this is what I can say about him. A person who speaks so negatively about others for no apparent reason is a person who is full of his own insecurities. It is typical of such a person to downplay other people's achievements while tending to exaggerate his own. Probably it is because Federer and Nadal are still the better players than him and it's hard for him to accept that reality. So, he tries to hide his insecurities by saying a lot of things that turns-off so many fans.

Because he is arrogant! The fool only won 1 grand slam and it is as if he could beat anyone. Good thing he was beaten by Marat Safin. He can finally step down back to earth.

I don't like him because he is way to arrogant for my taste, he still is not number one and he is not even close to Federer or Nadal in terms of achievements, but he still talks rubbish about them. But I have to strongly disagree with you about him playing boring stuff..he plays great tennis he does have shoots that make you go "Wow!" well at least for me. I much more like Nadal in terms of attitude but I find his game play boring, things that makes me wow about Nadal is how fast is he and how mentally strong he is, not his amazing shoots.

I used to like djokovic until i saw his interview when he basically bashed federer because of his loss to nadal. he basically said that his mental game was wack and that he was slipping from his throne. That's just me though.

I agree his style is a little boring plus he comes across as cocky to me and some other people I've talked to.  He was respectful as he lost to Safin but at other times he just gets whiny and annoying.  Go Federer or Roddick for a change (another whiny one but I'll root for him).

Ok, folks, it is time to stop bashing Djokovic. Sure, his head is larger than a football field.

Unfortunately, he does not have the following:

-The grace of Federer;

-The shyness of Nadal once the match is over.

He reminds me of a young Andre Agassi---brash,  young, and talking without thinking. Through defeat, tennis fans remember how Andre matured through the years and grew into himself. Djokovic will as well. Hopefully, it will not take him as long as Andre.

I believe this loss will make him take a step back and rethink the last five months.

He is so young & cocky when he win Austrialia Open early this year where he earns his 3rd ranking.

He shld learn to be more humble like Federer.

Because of how arrogant and cocky he is after just winning one grandslam and he expects everyone to worship him like they do Rafa and Rogie Fed. Besides last week in a press conference he basically was attacking Roger Federer about a number of things and basically saying he was coming after Federer, which is completely disrespectful. I do like to watch him play he's a phenomenal talent and certainly "part of the conversation" but he needs to work on his mouth. I was hoping my Marat would push Novak but shoot he handled Novak like a little kid trying to challenge his big brother. But afterwards Novak was very respectful towards Marat and had to put his foot in his mouth because of all the trash he talked. He's young and not thinking before he talks so he has allot left to learn about what it takes to be a champion.
