Why don't people seem to care ?

THE IRAQ WAR.

No one seems to care about all the soldiers that die every day over there. On the news, the almost never talk about the war.

All people talk about is the high gas prices and bulls.h.it like that. WHY ? And I can care less about stuff like American Idol.

Don't make the mistake of thinking people don't care because they don't talk about it all the time.  The problem is, what can we do?  We really cannot do anything about it.  It is human nature to try and put aside the most horrible thoughts, and focus on things that feel comfy and fun.  That doesn't mean they don't care.  The news doesn't carry a lot about what is going on in Iraq, because really it is not considered a war at this point.  They do report when our military personnel die in battles, I hear it all the time, but it does not happen every day.  At this time, it is considered a peace-keeping operation, a plan for democracy, not a war... per se.

protest against any war,  then there called unpatriotic, no one wants to

see soldiers male or female, getting blown to peices, coming home

physical and mentally altered, any more than any one wanted to see

3,000 people getting incinerated, and as for amrerican idol, i can't

speak for any one but my self, yet i'm in complete agreement 1,000 %

that it sucks and simon kowel should be sent over to iraq on the head

of a f***ing missle, and as for the gas prices well, that's an indiviual

choice people have to live with, including the bad along with the good,

consequences of there own doing, you can't drive a vehical the size of

an elephant and then b***h about it's appetite cause it thinks it on the

serrenghetty and ends up eating have the lawns in the neighborhood.

people don't want to think about serious bad things.

i have my favourite cousin over in iraq right now.

it's horrible to know that one of my best friends could be killed at any moment in a pointless war.

it's twisted that people care more about american idol than about our country's issues.

I was over there from 06-07, and I think its because people only see the news, (if they watch the news) and it just seems far away to Americans.. and if it doesn't affect their lives directly then they dont want to feel anything for the most part,but alot do anyway and Military member Love the support of Just knowing we are appreciated back home.. that's all I needed

its hard to think about the true reality of it and American lives Are full enough these days as it is with stress, and As a Military member I understand Focusing on your own daily stress limit and to pile on others stress is hard to do, But we werent forgotten... we had a Extreme amount of Care packages that flowed in... so many that we couldn't open them fast enough. =)
