  1. Some want to breed their pets, some don't want to pay the money to have them fixed, and some just don't care. Thousands of animals are euthanized daily because of the lack of room in shelters, due to people not spaying and neutering.

  2. Some people breed pets.

Others are just unaware of the over population and the animals in shelters being put down everyday do to lack of homes.

  3. Not getting your dog spayed or neutered is not just ignorance.  We resisted getting our dog neutered because we were afraid that his personality would change.  Several people (including our VET) told us that this was a possibility.  In the end, we did neuter him last month, and I'm sure it was the right thing to do.  I just don't like the insinuation from others that we didn't do it because we were self-involved or ignorant.

  4. that's the $64,000 question.  most men don't want to neuter their dogs as they will lose their manliness.  they feel that it reflects back on them not being manly.

people also seem to think that dogs want to be mothers and fathers.  a lot of animals don't want to be bred but people say oh she wants to be a mother.

    just ignorance mainly.
