Why don't people that are well off help familys that struggle.?

There is some public asst. for low income. What about the people that don't qualify for state help/ They might make a dollar to much.

What about the people that strugle and stress out because they don't make quite enough money to pay all their bills, buy food, and maybe go out now and then? Why don't oklahoma people help each other out more?

I am talking about the people that are doing all they can to help themselves and just need a little help, advice, etc. If someone could help pay for someone to go back to school, buy groceries and drop them off, Help them get school clothes for the kids, etc. I have always said when I get rich someday I will find families that need help and help them.

Because until you learn that "going out now and then" isnt a requirement for others to pay for, people arent obligated to help you.

Sounds like you havent identified the real reasons people help each other, but I surely am not about to pay for "other peoples nights out drinking and eating"

I will gladly help those that are in need, any day, as long as they are responsible and not being irresponsible with their money but going out for a social  life isnt something others owe you.

Most people worked very hard for their money. They had to earn it through hard work, dedication, and taking risks.

They are not going to give all their money away, but almost all give money that they have left after they spend it on what leisure items they want to (they are entitled to that because thats what they worked hard for) to the poor. Why would a wealthy person give money to someone to go out now and then when they could pay someone to be able to get a meal. It just doesn't make sense. Yes, the middle class might not get as much help as the lower class, but would you rather the wealthy took the money that they were giving to the lower class and gave it to the middle class? It just doesn't make sense. If someone asked me to help them with their financial situation, I would gladly do it, but there is no reason for wealthy people to give money to the middle class instead of the lower class.

Narrow mindedness. No helping tendency. These two play and object them to help others. Really I wondered to see a nice question and answers in the last two lines of of your question.
