Why don't people understand that everyone can't afford to live on campus for college? In my state it costs ?

$10,000/year to live on campus, which is a lot of money for a college students.

  1. like the first girl said, just be glad you're going to a college. Just make your own way there. Here in the UK, I have to commute 5 miles a day just to get to secondary school. I haven't even gone to college yet.


  2. Who has to understand? I didn't live on campus and had a great experience. You can hang out with people who live on campus and then go home to your nice clean home and let them deal with the vomit in the shower.

  4. People don't realize that some people actually work for everything they have and there parents don't give them everything.

  5. So live at home. What's the problem. Your not the only one. I used to travel 35 miles a day to get to school on the train. And then take a subway. Every day. Just be glad you are going to college. Good luck to you.

  6. Some colleges and universities REQUIRE students in their first 2 years to live on campus.  

    Try to pick a school that is local or does not have this requirement.  There are plenty of good schools out there.
