  1. I think they think they are the only driver on the road that matters. These are very selfish individuals. Where they have to go is more important than where you need to go. It takes nothing to use one. I use my turn signals all of the time and I drive defensively. If I'm running late, oh well. I will take steps to make sure I leave even earlier next time. You have to do what you have to do.

Our problems would decrease substantially if people felt more of a connection to each other. The connection is dying or it may already be dead. Afterall are you going to cut off someone that you really love?  Are you going to drive so as to jeopardize their life?  Are you going to be rude and selfish to them?

  2. maybe, sometimes they forgot to do it and only realize it when they already have turned or cut cars behind them. Be a defensive driver and don't follow what they do...

  3. Yes. When I would drive in very expensive neighborhoods in California (LA), the women (sorry to point it out ladies but it was always the women)...

SOME of the women would literally drive in the middle of the road and would NOT move to their side. I would have to literally stop my car so they could pass. 90210 and a couple of other zip codes.

  4. No, they're just a bunch of @r$eh0leS that don't understand what the consequence is getting banged by other people...

  5. Yes, I think I own the road.

  6. This is my pet peeve. I hate when ppl don't use their turn signal. I know i do stuff that pisses people off driving but this is the thing that irks me the most. If you're going to cut me off, at least use your signal.

  7. I hate these drivers, its not that hard to use a turn signal.

  8. That is so agavating when they do that. I just recently had a police to do that to me a few days ago, i wanted to lay on my horn so bad but i was scared that he was gonna come back and get me. (lol).

  9. In order to use the turn signal they would have to put the cell phone down or else let go of the steering wheel with the other hand! We are all lucky if the idiots look in their side mirrors before making a turn, asking for them to use their turn signals as well would just be a tad bit more than their itsy bitsy minds can comprehend! I also get peeved at the people who do use their signals when they have already started their turn! It is "what you intend to do, not what you are doing!!"

  10. They are just inconsiderate jerks. I didn't realize that they were such a hard mechanical device to operate!

  11. This is so annoying!  I've come to the conclusion that either some cars have indicators as "optional extras" (that they neglected to include) or that the driver is using telepathy.

  12. Because people who don't use their turn signals have little consideration for anyone else sharing the roadways with them.

I don't think they think they "own the road", I just think people who never use signals don't care if their carelessness and disregard for the law impacts anyone else.

Turn signals aren't for YOU, they're for EVERYONE ELSE AROUND YOU....as I'm sure you already know by asking this question...

  13. They are ******* thats why!!!!!

  14. I pay taxes. Therefore, I own part of the road.

But this is the thing that pisses me off the most. I drive minimum 120 miles a day, and the number of people who not only don't use their turn signal, but think that I'm going to let them in while they're coming into my lane is just insane.

They think I know what they're doing. I'll be nicer to you if you don't drive like a prick and use your indicator. Otherwise, forget it, Chuck!

It's either women in the mondo SUV's (Suburbans, Hummers, etc) or men in Mercedes that are the worst violators of this. Your car may have cost $68,000, but I have a feeling that when you hit me, you're going to be singing a different tune.

And on that note, it's time to drive 50 miles. Wish me luck.

  15. According to Response Insurance, a national car insurer, 42% of those drivers say they don’t have enough time, 23% admit they are just plain “lazy,” 17% don’t signal because when they do, they forget to turn it off, 12% admit they are changing lanes too frequently to bother, 11% say it is not important, 8% say they don’t signal because other drivers don’t, and perhaps most disturbing 7% say forgoing the signal “adds excitement to driving.”

The Company identified several driver-types when it comes to ignoring turn signals – Impulsive, Lazy, Forgetful, Swervers, Ostriches, Followers, and the Dare Devils.

“The bottom line is that most drivers are failing to see the importance of using their turn signals,”

  16. Because people are lazy. At first, they follow it... but after a while, when they become bored into driving... they just ignore using it.... but use your turn signals ok?

  17. I hate it when people don't use them. I always use them to inform others of my intentions.

  18. I just spent a week with my parents in Florida.  My dad did not use turn signals unless we reminded him.  He is 75 years-old, but of sound mind.  In his case, it was mostly just forgetting to use them and a little of not really caring about the other cars on the road.  It is not a good combination and it is why I believe that everyone should have to be retested every ten years to be able to keep their license, but that is just my opinion.

  19. well actually yes the folks who drive cars do own the road. life is to short to get in a lather over something like this.

  20. This is one my biggest pet peeve's.  They must just think that everyone else should move for them and always be ready for them to cut if front of you at any time.

I think it would cut down on a lot of accidents too if people would signal.
