Why don't people want planes to be safe?

its like the titanic effect...everything comes before safety...thus resulting in lots of deaths.

there is technology that can help prevent more accidents...but no one wants to invest in it...not the corporations or the public...some of this technology is affordable...but corps dont want to shell out the money to make it happen.

its usually AFTER something bad happens that they invest....usually spending twice as much for it than the would have had to before.

so why dont people want planes to be safe? although accidents will always happen...the can be reduced but companies dont want to do anything and the public either is uniformed or just doesnt care....until its their loved ones paying the deadly price?

please only answer the question...its a general question, its not about me.

and please give real answers and not incompetent ones. cuz i really want to know why no one cares for safety anymore.

  1. I agree with the sentiment of your question, whole heartedly but I would answer it with this parallel, retorical, question; Why, when the British Government gets in excess of 75% of the cost of every litre of fuel sold, by taxation, on top of all of the other methods they already had for taxing us, is our country heading blythely toward financial ruin???

  2. I love how this question starts...

..."Why don't people want planes to be safe?"

Are you saying people want to die or something? Do people say "I hope the aircraft I'm flying in is poorly maintained, poorly designed, and unsafe for flying". C'mon, that's stupid. You make a long question about nothing. How can anybody answer this? What's the technology you're talking about?

    (edit)

"there is a device where it can prevent communication mix ups...and reduce communication related accidents...like plane incursions on the ground."

It's wrong of you to think that people don't car for safety. You just have to educate people about things like this. If it's affordable and you can show that it reduces accidents, people will invest in it. People want safety.

  3. I can only speak for myself but I am one of those that absolutely hates safety, especially on airplanes.  The costs of making flying safe is just too great with the increased fuel costs.  You safety n***s are trying to make my flight safer and completely disregard the money aspect of it.  I am very much against safe planes and well trained pilots.  The airlines spend way too much money training pilots.  That extra money could be used to give me lots of free peanuts on my flight.

  4. Sometimes people get greedy and are looking more for profits then for safety.

  5. you kids and your unatural fetish about absolute safety. do you realize that airline travel is by far the safest form of travel. do not put your personal safety into gadgets......

  6. people are so greedy these days...do you realize that even the everyday buildings are unsafe? that our homes are unsafe? our cars...EVERYTHING!!!! i guess we cant expect airline companies to make things safe if we cant get any other companies to make everything else safe.

heck, we as a country are in danger to ourselves...letting kids have guns...drinking and driving...

i think im gonna be sick *throws up*
