Why don't pigs get soil up their nose when they grunt whilst snuffling in the ground?

Because they blow air. expirate not aspirate.

You speak through your mouth and a pig's grunt develops in the throat and comes from the mouth with exhalation of air.  

They do get dirt in the their noses when rooting sometimes but just blow it out.
