Why don't pigs get soil up their nose when they grunt whilst snuffling in the ground?

  1. Because they blow air. expirate not aspirate.


  2. You speak through your mouth and a pig's grunt develops in the throat and comes from the mouth with exhalation of air.  

    They do get dirt in the their noses when rooting sometimes but just blow it out.
