Why don't police arrest noisy motorcyclists?

Why the extreme noise? I don't know. Maybe they get progressively deaf. That stupid 'Loud pipes saves lives' mantra is a joke since the noise of their exhaust is directed behind them. No one in front of them hears anything. The only ones who hear them are people who are driving behind them and already see them and the poor saps who happen to live within 5 miles of the road that these apes travel. That's how loud their bikes are! I drive with my eyes open and do not run into bikes, whether they be peddle or motor driven.These morons have ruined many peoples vacations with their loud noise. They lower the quality of life for good law abiding people. And yet, our police do nothing. Why is that? It starts at the top. Any answeres, you clowns?

I've always asked the same question. But they are quick to site someone with loud music, when it's usually temporary.

loud pipes save lives is VERY real. I don't abt you, but i can hear those loud bikes from behind me before i see them coming. Maybe you aren't paying attention. I ride a bike myself, (not those loud ones, the fast sportbikes) and i suppose that makes me more conscious of them when i'm riding or driving.

I personally dont see anything wrong with them. I mean i live in a big city so maybe thats why i'm not affected by them....that and those loud pipes do imo save the lives of my biker brothers. I mean i won't be going out to by one of those things any time soon, not my stlye...

plus i think the police have other more important things to do like eating doughnuts...lol j/k...idk u have your opinion and i have mine..

Maybe the noise level is not against the law.  Maybe no one makes the call to the police.  Maybe they too are law abiding people w/loud bikes.  No diff then someone in a car w/the music BLASTING...

I don't know,its pretty annoying,it has gotten worse now that the Harley Davidson bikes have become so popular with the old men going through a mid life crises,I live on a corner lot with a four way stop,it drives me nuts,whats worse for me though is those people with the f---king speakers at 2 AM,boom boom boom,I hope they go deaf

itll be very expensive for police to issue vehicle inspections to all bikes that our loud...the paper work is a s hit load and what not...it sucks but what can you do...just tackle one off his bike next time you see one

A friend got ticketed and his bike taken off the road for having noncomplying noisy pipes.

if  you  drive  a  car  with  sealed  windows  then  you  want  to  hear  when  these  guys  are  nearby. trust me that  noise  saves  lives.  

my  dad  used  to  ride  and he  told  me  that .  he  said  you  want  to  be  heard approching from  a distance  when  you  ride  a  motorbike.
