Why don't police set up sting operations to catch email scammers?

  1. Typically scammers operate in counties outside of where they are scamming, the countries themselves, oftan dont even have any laws that make it illegal for them to do so.

    They also scam people out of amounts of money that are too small for the victimised government to act upon.

    In the end, its up to you to use common sense to avoid them, they are very easy to spot.


  2. yeah they set up computers and find the people they don't know and give them their email addresses so they can send them back scam material.  Scammers use different email out servers every different day, some send through different servers hourly, and wirelessly.

    How do you trap someone who sends the trap to you and drives away before you open it?  Offer them cheap server deals?
