Why don't professional boxers join the Olympics?

You have nba/wnba basketball players, tennis, volleyball, soccer pros etc, but pro boxers don't join the olympics, why not? I don't think its about the money either, nba players get paid a lot of money and theyre doing this for the gold, not the money.

good question. i think that boxing has been in the olympics longer and they still dont allow pros to enter but they do with the newer sports like snowboarding and basketball for some reason.

and because the U.S. pro boxers would dominate the others
