  1. b/c its gonna cost alot of money to put them on the bus and its all gonna go to waste b/c 9/10 ppl aren't gonna even look at them

  2. because they think that people won't crash into a bus

  3. Because it makes it less of a hassle for people to get one and off the bus quickly, where they aren't constantly buckling and unbuckling. It isn't as safe, of course, but the idea is that large buses aren't going to get in as many accidents that are that dangerous because of their size.

  4. Compartmentalization, a concept seen frequently on commercial airplanes, involves seating passengers in rows of padded seats with cushioned backs.

The belief is that during frontal or rear impact, the most common types of wrecks involving buses, passengers would either be pushed back into their seats or thrown forward into the padded backs of the row ahead.

The use of seat belts might require stiffer seats, which would negate the theory of compartmentalization. It is also feared that some passengers would receive internal injuries from seat belts through a process called submarining, the tendency for a body to slide downwards during impact.

  5. Public buses do not require seat belts as they were never legislated for them.

They also do not require you to have a seat (ie. you can legally ride standing up).

  6. well some of them do.I am amazed yours doesnt our =city public buses do have them.Nobody Puts them on any way.WEll good luck on this.If you need more help contact your city chamber.
