Why don't scientists ever let outsiders in to see any of the possible human ancestors in person?

Maybe that's because they have something to hide. Like everything a fake or it doesn't fit the model right.

I'm guessing your asking about DNA testing to work out our ancestral line? The reason they don't let people in is the same reason we can't take our friends to watch surgery.

It's a place of work, it's a labarotory and they are working with equipment that cost a lot of money. I'm bamfoozled that even these guys are now part of some conspiracy too.

a) The bones are fragile and kept in climate-controlled rooms.

b) They do.  How do you think textbooks and TV shows get photographs?

c) They do.  Check out "open house" day at the Natural History Museum.

d) Nothing is stopping you from becoming a paleoanthropologist.  Establish your credentials and your legitimate need to see the bones, and you can get a look.
