Why don't the Detroit Lions fans boycott the team?

I used to be a big Detroit Lions fan. However, I realized that the owners have no intention of building a winning team. They only care about selling out and making a profit. Why don't all the fans completely boycott the team? Don't buy the apparel, tickets, etc.

I think Detroit deserves a team just new owners and maybe even a whole new start a new team new name and all. I like detroit  having a team though. but a fresh start would be nice

I don't spend any money on the Lions except if there's something happening at Ford Field that I want to see BUT with the owners sharing revenue the Lions still make the fords lots of cash even if they didn't sell one ticket..

not to mention that we LOVE FOOTBALL, it just suck that we have to put up with the lions management

Well this will be the year, or next year will be the year. Depends on how far they are in to the season. They are as pathetic as they claim ownership is. I'm all for supporting a team if you think they don't have a choice(I'm a Pens fan and was cheering them on through the fire sale and the bad years before they turned around) but when it is an ownership that doesn't really want to turn the team in to a winning team you are silly to support them. So instead the Lions fans buy tickets and stage a walk out. What they think that the ownership cares? They BOUGHT THE TICKETS, the ownership got the money. If they had any sense they would boycott and not by tickets. Just cheer for the team by listening on the radio. Sure the ownership gets a little money that way, but not enough.

We still have a team in Detroit?? Not all of us still support this joke of a team. Don't lump me into the mix...LION'S FREE SINCE 2005....WHOOOHOOOOO.

Sunday ticket is this best thing you can every buy if you are a football fan living in the Detroit area....

it's people like lionzrok12  that keeps Ford not giving a rats butt about the team...people like him keep Ford rich and saying " why do I have to do anything with this team? People like him still buy tickets, shirts, hats and we stink!!!! "

They looked pretty good last night. Kitna will be more familiar this year, Calvin Johnson and Roy Williams will be lethal. They may even finish ahead of the Packers this year.
