Question:

Why don't the FIA just give Kimi the title now?

Here we go again - any excuse to give Ferrari a leg up to the title. Last week Kimi smashes into the back of Sutil taking Force India out of a first points finish for them .What was the official verdict? ''Just a racing incident''. No penalty. Today, Lewis accidentally does the same, but because he had the temerity to bump the holy Ferrari he gets a 10 place grid penalty for Magny Cour. Here we go again. Same old ..same old. Absolutely pathetic. The FIA don't even try to hide their bias anymore. May as well just give the title to Kimi at the start of the season and let the rest of the field race for 2nd place.

  1. Did you know that there's a difference between an accident on track running at 300kmph, as compared to running into a stationary car.

They both are different incident, anyone who think they are the same should have his head examined

  2. At the end of the day, When you look at the basics of what happened...

Kimi accidently retired Sutil - Recieved no penatly

Lewis Accidently retired Kimi - Is penalized 10 places on the grid for next race.

    How is that fair ?

Niether driver meant to do it, they were both racing incidents and should have been treated in the same way. The FIA needs to be more consistant and stopping having 1 rule for ferrari and 1 rule for everyone else.

  3. No matter what GATORADE says i still think it was harsh on Sutil and Force India as they havent managed to pick up any points yet. Fair enough it was a racing incident but i still think Raikonnen should have been penalised like Hamilton was. I just hope he manages to qualify well enough to finish in the points in the next race!

  4. Kimi hitting Sutil in the wet, on track, was a racing incident.

Lewie the Brat smacking the back of Kimi IN THE PITS while the exit light was flashing RED was just plain stupidity and unsafe driving. Hamilton should be suspended for a couple races for such unsafe driving, a ten spot penalty is a gift.

If Kimi and Robert weren't sitting there, The Brat would have blown right through the red light! And then been disqualified to blowing the red light. The light was still flashing after they got out of their cars! You could see it clearly.

I have an intense dislike for Hamilton, look at the way he behaved after his brain f**t: Kimi tried to talk to him, and he physically brushed him off. You don't do that to a WDC when you make such a blithering rookie mistake. Then he shoves a TV camera aside, and he still won't take any responsibility for HIS error! All of his quotes thus far lays the blame on two cars who were correctly stopped at the pit exit.

They ought to yank the dumbsh*t's Superlicense.

For what it's worth, I'm not a Kimi fan to a large extent.

  5. Why don't you write about giving the title to Massa or Kubica? They're actually ahead of Kimi in the championship.

Go back to last year's Canadian GP.  Massa was actually black-flagged (that means come into the pits and park it, total disqualification) for not stopping for the red light in the pit!

If you're driving your car on the road and you rear-end someone stopped at a red light, it is almost always your fault!

  6. balls total balls

granted Kimi whacked Sutil and as a Ferrari fan I was sick at seeing that for Kimi and for Sutil as he deserved a reward for his GP and tbh I agreed with Mike Gascgoyne (and im a ferrari man) when he said if Monaco was the other way round Sutil would have been penalised - true

but in truth it was a racing incdent this is motorsport, not a perfect world by any means one where things are won and lost by the smallest of things

and as for Canada just hang fire a moment are you honestly saying that Lewis shouldnt be penalised for not looking seriously?? so if he did that on the public roads and not on a race track he should also get no punishment?? get real Kimi was unfortunate with Sutil and a racing incident where as Lewis was driver error, Kimi was more mechanical error also contributed by track conditions - Lewis was on a bone dry Montreal surface

  7. to add to GATORADE, the stewards said that if sutil finish he would have 25 seconds added to his time because he over took the three cars. and there is a difference. lewis different notice the light so it was lewis' and the teams fault.

  8. They cant because if they are on level points eg kimi and lewis the decider counts how many 1st places have they had so if lewis has 6 and kimi has 7 he is the world champion.

  9. Dont be so silly..when Kimi took out Sutil, that was in the rain at 200 MPH ona hard track..that can happen to anyone..Did you see the Monaco GP????  Hamilton hit Kimi in the dam pit lane,he SHOULD have seen the red light,he is supposed to be a PRO right??? but no,he just drives right into a STANDING STILL RED FERRARI..come on..he deserves the 10 place drop.. if you cant see the difference between the 2 crashes then your as blind as hamilton

  10. Hmmm huge difference between the two crashes

After crashing into the back of a parked car with red lights flashing in front of him......10 places is about right probably deserves more though

As for the FIA handing Kimi the title....he will win it anyway

  11. Hamilton messed up, pure and simple (as did Rosberg), he deserves the penalty.

  12. The incidents were COMPLETELY different! Lewis was frustrated sein kimi beat him out of the pits, and didn't stop for the red light and hit Kimi. Yes, it was an accident, but he wasn't stopping for the red, so it's entirely his fault.

Kimi hiting sutil was nobody's fault, kimi lost the back, tried to keep the back end in check by powering up but slid into sutil. So yes it WAS 'just a racing accident'

  13. Kimi-Sutil was a racing incident and over 250 kph when he lost control (I don't think any driver will wiggle his car and hit another and in doing so lose themselves their race position) while Hamilton-Kimi incident took place in the pit, when Kimi was waiting for the signal to go off and below 80kph. You are not to race within the pits. Lewis was frustrated to see the lead slip away from him, and he failed to notice the red light. I'm not sure whether a penalty should have been handed out for Kimi in the first case. But the second case was sure for a penalty, and I knew it even before the official verdict came out.

In both cases, Kimi had his share of loses. When it was there to see, Ferrari also had been penalised. And you can't justify Hamliton act.

I think the Hamiltons did not have a great week behind the wheels.

  14. Much as I like Lewis and I am a massive McLaren fan I think the right decision was made. He was in the pit lane and should have been taking more notice of the lights. The lights are there for a reason, to stop cars exiting the pit lane into a dangerous situation. Had they left then, then they would have been in conflict with the safety car. If you want to blame anyone, then blame the team. Ferrari and BMW both informed their drivers the pit lane was still closed, McLaren and Williams didn't. Both Lewis and Nico didn't see or expect the light. Shame, but hey, that's F1. Both Kimi and Lewis will have to battle with Kubica now, its wide open again.

Had Lewis or Nico exited the pits they would have been black flagged anyway.

  15. I agree with gatorade here. First of all, Kimi going into the back of Sutil's car in Monaco was a racing accident. He did not deliberately do that. And Sutil overtook someone under yellow flags. That is not allowed. But they didn't penalize Sutil for that. Does that mean there's a conspiracy here too?

The Montreal incident was Hamilton's fault. He didn't see the red lights at the end of the pit lane and rammed into Kimi. Nico Rosberg then rammed into hamilton. Both Nico and Hamilton were given penalties. in this case, this is not a racing accident. If Hamilton had noticed the red lights, he'd stop in time. And even if he'd gotten out of the pitlane, he'd be penalized somehow or even disqualified.

Note that hamilton hit a stationary car in the pit lane. Because he was racing Kimi and Kubica who pitted at the same time but they both got out ahead of him. Trying to make up ground for losing the lead, he got into a hurry.

Stop blaming the FIA for everything.

  16. Sorry but even as a fan of Lewis I can acknowledge that he screwed up royally and also preventably whereas at Monte Kimi simply lost control during braking due to hitting a bump.

When all said and done Lewis and Kimi should have been fighting until the end to win the race and because Lewis took his eye of the ball it didn't happen, 10 places is a bit harsh but there's no excuse for what happened.

  17. well you see.. first off they cant give Kimi the title because the title may go in the hands of a BMW driver! thats right i said it, BMW may win this season!!

and secondly they are completely different accidents. in Kimis case, the car lost grip, it was wet and he has to TC to help, he TRIED to regain control of the car but it just would come under control.. so nothing he can do but slide off to where ever the vehicle wanted to go.. sadly it was in the back of Sutils car

in Hamiltons case, he could of done something like he was supposed to. if he had hit the BRAKES.. you know? the big pedal on the left? he would of stopped and not caused the crash. entirely his fault.

but then again, another part of me wonders if hamilton tried to get beside kimi so it would of been a row of three that way he could of tried to get the jump on him..

  18. I was thinking of a fine,  or a five place penalty

then I thought of the racist route ?   lets hope not !!

Ten places are harsh, especially after last week and Kimis

    incident

But a RED LIGHT is what it is .....  STOP

I think the team should be at fault for not informing the driver, but he should also understand the rules  ??

Fia  should get there own house in order first

Max should have now stepped down with a clear name (not)

  19. Pal, the pitlane has a different set of rules. And it is so because there are exposed people in the pitlane. Any self respecting driver should be aware of a possible red light and should spot stopped car. If you cant do that at 60 mph, then you shouldnt be on a racing track. Anger of being aced in a pitstop shouldnt be such recklessness.

Get a grip and learn about racing before you post misinformed questions.

  20. These are 2 different situations: there are every time many accidents during the gp, but not so many in the pit-lane. In the race you can risk (when you ovetake i.e.), you can't when when you're in the pit-lane because there are mechanics and guests. Without Raikkonen, Hamilton would have come over the lane  and the light: however he'd have got a penalty. But he smashed Raikkonen moreover. The light should have been red not orange,it's ok,but it's not a justification.

  21. Look at it this way, if there was no one in front of Lewis & he went through the red light, which he didn't see, he would have been disqualified anyway. It wasn't Kimi's or the FIA's fault that the crash happened. I'm sure the was a bit of "red mist" on Lewis's part, to loose his 8 second lead & then to see two cars get out a head of him in the pit's.

  22. Well said Andy, another and the latest scandalous in the long, never ending line of anti-McLaren, pro-Ferrari tribe decisions by the Ferrari International Assistance (FIA). In the last race Raikkonen crashed into Sutil but gets no penalty. Lewis Hamilton crashed into Raikkonen and lo and behold gets a 10 place penalty which automatically not only eliminates him from any chance of winning but of getting a good placing thus allowing the red trolls to gain the advantage. As though losing a sure win today was not enough punishment for Lewis Hamilton and McLaren! I think it is time to give up this sport once and for all!

  23. Man,hamilton hasn't any excuse. If you see the race again he hit the Ferrari like Beckham scores from free kicks or like a Bull in a Darts Game. It's unfair that McLaren Inc. produces the traction of all the cars!!!Why is this not public!!!McLaren copied the Renault F2006 model and the Ferrari!!!But what about a 2 or 3 races banishment of Hamilton, like Schumi had in 1994(then were 2).Like always McLaren enters again in a controversy!!!The 80ties,90ties and 2000s were the same.Shame on McLaren, shame on Dennis and in specially shame on lewis!!!

  24. First off, there is a difference between making a mistake during a race, which occasionally happens, and ignoring the red light in the pits. Pit stop offences are taken very seriously by the stewards and just last year, Massa in a red Ferrari was disqualified for running a red light.

Second, Sutil overtook three cars during a yellow flag period to get to the fourth place in Monaco, so he really shouldn't have been there in the first place.  The stewards would have eventually spotted it and taken away his points anyway.

  25. He will not need any help from the FIA if that silly sod, Lewis, continues to hit opponents up the ****. China and now Monteal - I really think Hamilton needs some basic driving lessons.  It appears he can drive at speed but has problems going slowly, bit like his Dad if he was driving within the legal limit and, if not, he will be receiving Notice of Summons shortly.

  26. McLaren_Highlander.

Losing a sure win? first of all he was third at the exit so it wasn't even a win, Second since when it was about Hamilton or Kimi being out of the race? The problem was that there was a red light Hamilton didn't stop and hit another stopped car! So he broke the rules, intended or not he broke the rules, While I can't find the rule which penalize the driver who loses control during the race only to ruin his chances of winning any points and hit someone who can't get any points till now!

FIA isn't backing Ferrari at all, They changed the d**n rules because Schumacher was dominating the F1, How many times was Schumacher given a penalty and had to start from the pit lane?

And if you think that starting from the 10-15 place will ruin Lewis chances of getting decent points, well I think you are admitting that he got no skills because even Button could score a podium starting from 13th

  27. oh please, not another FIA conspiracy to give Ferrari a tittle. Kimi was going 200kph+ and was hydroplaning when he hit Mr. nobody. Hamilton ran into the back of a car stopped at a red light. not even close to being the same situation. one was a racing mistake the other was a bonehead mistake
