Question:

Why don't the Packers consider trading Brett Favre to Atlanta?

When I was thinking of teams that would need Brett Favre, Atlanta seemed like the perfect team. They just drafted a great quarterback, Matt Ryan. So if Atlanta gets Favre, then while Favre is starting Matt Ryan can develop more and learn the offense better while getting tips from Favre. Since Favre is only going to be in the NFL at the most two or three years Matt Ryan can learn the offense and get used to the NFL in that period of time. So when Matt Ryan is the starter he is great. Doing this lets Atlanta not have bad seasons for the next couple seasons assuming Brett Favre is good and Matt Ryan has developed when Favre has retired. I'm saying this guessing that Michael Vick is going to get released when he comes back. This is just a thought, there are probably many reasons that this wouldn't work. I'm just posting it here to get more input.

  1. The Jets and the Bucs both put better offers on the table, and plus, even Favre isn't good enough to make that c**p offense in ATL look good.

  2. I thought that last night. I think it would be perfect.

  3. Conditions in Favre's contract (that the Packer's agreed to...) give Favre the right to veto a trade to any team he doesn't want to play for.  I'm sure Favre at age 38 doesn't want to go to rebuilding team like Atlanta so he'd probably just veto the trade.

  4. Trade Brett Favre to Tampa Bay for Chris Simms & a 3rd round draft pick.

I live in Green Bay, Wisconsin & love the Packers, but the area of green bay as a whole wont roll out the redcarpet for Brett anymore, ship him out!!

  5. They do

  6. He was there already. They didn't want him then, why would they want him now?

  7. The issue would be if Favre wnats to go there and I think he would rather go to a team that would have a chance to make the playoffs and frankly the Falcon are not that team right now
