Why don't the cubs put Chad Gaudin as the 5th man in their rotation?

He is a reliver, so for now, and I don't know if they will ever Chad Gaudin in their rotation. So if you really don't like Jason Marquis, just don't watch him, and you should be fine.

Gaudin is cheap while Marquis is making millions of dollars. Doesn't make it right but that's the biggest reason.

I agree, I can't stand Marquis. Heck even a wild Rich Hill has got to be better. They need to be Marquis in the bullpen.

marquis didn't pitch that bad. normally with the cubs offense that would be way more than enough to win but the cub hitters seem to leave their bats at wrigley field.

Cubs don't want to pay a multi-million dollar player to pitch in the pen. Gaudin is better off in the pen because Cubs need a pitcher that can go long innings in the pen. Gaudin can give 2 innings while most RPs pitch only 1 inning and leave.
