They have the means possible, and it wouldn't hurt them to give of themselves to better other peoples lives. I know Bill Gates and Warren B. are giving, somewhat, but what about all the other Billionaires, and Millionaires??

  1. Wealth like matter and energy, moves from higher concentration to lower concentration till equilibrium is reached. Mind you, it is higher concentration and not higher quantity. To understand concentration of wealth, we need to have two forms of wealth: wants and means. The ratio of means to wantss is dilute in case of many rich people i.e their wants are more than their means. Though they have more means, their wants are even greater. A poor man with limited wants is more often more concentrated than a rich man with more wants. On number of occasions, wealth flows from poor to rich. To understand this study how equilibrium is reached when hot water is added to cold water. Heat moves from higher temperature to lower temperature even if cold water might have more heat energy than the hot water. Even though atmosphere contains more air than the tube of a vehicle, when tube bursts, air moves out of the tube i.e. from higher density to lower density. Buyers move from costlier to cheaper markets and goods move from cheaper to costlier markets.

  2. Are you kidding? Read, man, read!  Many ultra-wealthy people give fortunes to universities for scholarships, hospitals. Most recent example: T .Boone Pickins. Heard of him??? he just gave $100 million, that's right $100,000,000 to a children's hospital. That's like saying" Why don't those  folks in Hollywood ever divorce each other?"

  3. They will if it is in their financial interests to

  4. They give.  I've heard of large donations.  So they do give.  But I think that some of them only donate to look good- it gives them good reputation, but some may do it genuinely, but yes the rich do give (Indiana Pacers player Jermaine O'Neal once gave $55,000 for Asian Tsuanmi relief yes it doesnt look like tat much but it is a donation).
