  1. Why should they they are the ones who have ripped off this country in the first place causing this problem .

  2. because they are selfish.

  3. Actually, the richest Americans have already given away their entire fortunes to charity.  They didn't leave it to the government because they feel the elected officials would just spend it foolishly, this way, the money goes to people who need it.  Additionally, if the five hundred richest Americans pooled their money together, they couldn't even dent the debt.

  4. They didn't became rich by careing about people

  5. Well I think that this scripture in 2 Timothy 3:2-4 pretty much sums up what people are like today -

'For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, betrayers, headstrong, puffed up [with pride], lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God'.

  6. Because while last year you paid $18k in taxes, Bill Gates paid $18 million in taxes. Now somehow you think he owes you money?

  7. Because the debt is so large that it wouldn't work. Besides, how many people would wanna instantly, and simultaneously transfer their money to the government. Not anyone I know of. Not even Bill Gates or Donald Trump's money could even remotely help the debt.

  8. There's no reason to. The debt isn't important. Plus a balanced budget, decreased borrowing, increasing exports, many other things all affect it.

  9. because this isn't socialism.

  10. because they are douche bags

  11. They couldn't afford it. It's over 9 Trillion dollars. It would take nearly every dollar made in the US in one year to pay it off.

  12. Because  we owe much of it to them and the are collecting interest on it, which is in part why they are wealthy.
