  1. In regards to the show, some suspects do ask to speak with an attorney and some do not.  At times, the detectives may not make you believe that you are a suspect, but may know information about the case.  So, the suspect, who believes that the detectives do not think that s/he is a suspect, but may know information, will provide this information to them without an attorney present.

However, there are some who know they committed the crime or at least involved and will not say anything until an attorney is present.

  2. SOME DO AND SOME DON'T. THE PEOPLE WHO DO ASK TO SPEAK WITH THEIR LAWYERS ARE USUALLY GUILTY AND DON'T WANT TO TALK TO THE INVESTIGATORS BY THEMSELVES BECAUSE THEY ARE SO SCARED. AND THE OTHERS THAT REALIZE THAT THEY HAVE BEEN CAUGHT DON'T EVEN CARE IF THEY HAVE A LAWYER OR NOT BECAUSE THEY KNOW THAT THE LIFE AS THEY KNOW IT IS OVER.
