I not sure they haven't;and they do make their selves known ,the people an this planet aren't ready to deal with the situation as you can see by are governments response.other country's seem to identify them,but not ours.I truly believe they're flying by because they don't want to get caught up in the messes we're making,and we cant even get along with ourselves,....flying by is safer for someone who is either laughing hysterically,or crying for our species because we don't know what we have.I.ve had an up front and personal experience and there was know fear in me,it was amazing !

The sighted UFOs don't land because they aren't extraterrestrial spacecraft and they don't contain any extraterrestrial creatures.

There is a distinct possibility that there is life out there somewhere.  The odds of those creatures being advance enough to travel many times faster than the speed of light in order to reach our needle in the ocean sized planet is very improbable.

i'm not like a expert or anything but probally they are scared of us because its like us seeing a monster xD   Plus if you think of it----they have UFOs and watever and we have jets/ airplanes/ war vehicles.

And probally then studied us so they know we have enough nucleaur weapons and bombs to destroy a planet so probally they don't wanna start a war with us yet

This subject of ufo's, of entertaining this possiblility seems to foster belief-system confusion, discomfort, and insecurtiy in many people.  This also generates a feeling of helplessness when confronted by something they actively wish to discount and disbelieve in.  The majority of people, that I have often talked to about this subject seem to relate UFO"s and associate this subject to things like for instance, the demonic realm's and other nasties that might go bump in the night. Similarity, many people disbelieve there may be any other intellegent life form in the universe:  ALL UFO sightings are explainable as natural phenomena or weather ballons.  Accepting the possibility of intelligent alien life forms, possibly with a higher level of intelligence of technology than our own, fosters deep-seated belief-system confusion, discomfort, and insecurity -simply through the many issues this possibility raises.  There is a fine distinction, between real nonphysical life forms from another dimension, and simple thought forms.  Many  nonphysical life forms, while generally classified today as mindless thought forms, seem to originate from other dimensions entirely, possibly even from dimensions parallel to our own.  The distinction between these types,  thought froms or independent beings, is basically one of intelligence.  Their limitations of intelligence are shown by their ability to think, adapt, and innovate.  Thought forms, by nature, are mental creations, and exhibit only behavioral traits or intelligence programmed into them during their creation.  They have no innate natural intelligence with which to think, adapt, and innovate when faced with new and intellectually challenging situations.  True nonphysical life forms, on the other hand, would logically have some level of natural intelligence, and would therefore be capable of some adaptation and innovation.  The level of flexibilty and orighinality exhibited would, obviously, be set by their level of intelligence.  This would make classification through the observation of their reactions to stimulus at least feasible.  If all negative entites are thought forms, then logically so are all positive entities, including all advanced spirit beings, spirit guides, and angels.  And it cant be said that our universe living physical beings as well as nonphysical beings contains only positive manifestations of consciousness.   The most troblesome types of astral wildlife apprear to come from the notorious lower astral subplanes that contain the darker and more negative aspects of the astral planes.  These can be likened to parallel shadows of the more positively oriented parts of the astral planes.  While still a part of the astral planes, technically speaking , they are a distincly seperate aspect or part of it, containing all the darker qualities.  Another way of  looking at this is to consider this to be the night side of the astral planes.  Low astral wildlife normally seem capable of operating only in dimensions similar to or lower than their dimension of origin. This is reasonable , based on the energetic limitations set by their nature and dimensional level of origin.  Some of these beings do seem capable of operating in the real time zone.  The real time zone can be thought of as being fairly neutural territory., demensionally speaking. All lower types regardless of classification or origin, appear to be predatory loners showing varying degress of strength, in intelligence, and ability.  Negaitive beings exhibit a cold and almost insectlike nature.  Higher feelings like love, compassion, and mercy are totally alien to them.  This does not, however mean they are evil;  it just means they have no higher feelings. To the best of my knowlege, if projectors mind their own business stay calm, use common sense, and project away if they ever find themselves in a bad situation, they have very little to worry about.  Out of all the thousands of projections related case histories that I have read and heard about, I have only come across a handful of situations where really troublesome astral wildlife were involved. " example" the deadliest spider" where they will attact us out of fear!  but the majority of some of these cases , once this situation was confronted with a braver and more positive attitude, the entities, whether real or imagined, simply vanish.  So, you ask why don't the ufo's land?  Well, they do and will once we all can get over the fear of one another.  Yes, they are affraid of us as we are of them too, but once we can get over the fear, and anxiety, of what they look like and how we look to them,, then and only then can we jump for joy out of excitement and we would both have a reason to celebrate and work together in harmony as one,,, and this can be done now.  However, the military and the fighting that has been going on have only scared them away ,, but the higher planes of the UFO's acting out of love and compassion for us for what we are going through in our times of trouble are now ready and some have already begun will now start to succcessully pass through the conscious exit barrier, and manage to maintain self control in able to now begin learning how to operate in our enviroment and to travel and explore farther afield only to help save us.  So, we all must be ready to greet the unknown with love and compassion, and with out fear.  As their visit to us can come in a blinking of an eye~` please read!  EZEKIEL~~ A WHEEL WITH IN A WHEEL~~  This should explain to you more in depth for you and for us all too.  Good luck on your Journey to the other side~~ if they have room for me,, please ask them to stop by my house I need a lift to the Moon~!V!!

If that's not a UFO in my back yard, I'd very much like to know what it is exactly.

It arrived a couple of days ago, as far as we can tell anyway.  Because we'd gone to bed around midnight and woke the following day to find this shiny gold thing in the garden.

It's about the size of your average washing machine and looked to be covered in some sort of gold coloured substance.

This afternoon a hatch in the front opened and some green steam/gas snaked out and disappeared up into the air somewhere.  I could hear a faint hissing for a while, then a distant whirring sound, like someone was using a drill or something to make holes in metal.

Since then nothing.

We've not gone out to find out what it is yet.  Too scared.  Even our dog has stopped barking, which is very unusual.  He normally barks at everything, even traffic passing in the street out front.

Guess we should call the police and let them deal with it.  Maybe tomorrow.

Obviously you mean extra-terrestrial space craft as opposed to UFO. They do land frequently, but only in Kentucky or Ireland as most of the inhabitants are too drunk too notice (or having s*x with their relatives as is the case in Kentucky). This then answers your second question..

To answer your third question, they are here to visit Elvis, not that they are scared.

There is probably other life out there somewhere.  We don't know where it is and they proabably don't know where we are.  The universe is so large, bigger than any of us can even comprehend.  The main reason they don't land is probably because they can't find us.  Also, they may not have the technology to get here.  We may be by far the most intellegent life in the universe.

Maybe they are hiding a dark secret. For example, maybe we are livestock to them, and they are harvesting us. Maybe they like young tender meat, which is why you see so many posters hanging in the foyer at walmart.

I doubt they are scared of us, as much as they dont want us to know thier secrets.

On the other hand, they could be like the guys on the original Star Trek series, how they couldn't interfere with other civilizations (even though they always did) they were only there to observe and study. We are the primitive life form not quite ready for warp travel yet, so they are just observing, waiting for the day when they can welcome us into the federation of planets and William Shatner will be our delegate.
