My business partner applied for a tourist visa in Malaysia and brought along all related personal information (his bank acc, fixed deposits, house title etc. etc.) on the day of his interview. Everyone was very helpful, from the security guards to the person in charge of thumb prints. So when his turn finally arrives to be questioned by the interviewer (a chinese lady) as my partner can't speak fluent english. This chinese interviewer don't even bother to look at his details and rejected his application even though having a quarter of a million dollars in his fixed deposit over the past 15 years.

We have heard from many friends and relatives that 10 out of 10 people were rejected by this woman. Most people says that this woman only approves those who have connections with this woman. Why don't the ambassador do something or investigate this woman as a lot of people think something is very fishy going on?

  1. If she's a foriegn official, she can do what ever she wants.  Who are you going to complain to, her government?

  2. If you believe you have serious information to suggest that this person is making visa decisions based on personal bribes, then you should do something and not wait for the ambassador. If you are talking about the US embassy, you could contact the embassy itself by sending a letter to the Regional Security Officer or the Consul General. However, based on what little you say here, you only seem to have suspicions rather than any evidence. No one would last very long turning down 100% of visa applicants. All denials are reviewed by supervisors by regulation.
