Question:

Why don't they have this in Public Restrooms?

My son was completely potty trained at 2 1/2 years old. Now he's 3 years old and when I take him to the Ladies Room with me to go pee in the toilet, he's too short so I have to pick him up slightly to aim his pee in the toilet. Of course he sits down to go poo. But I'm talking about little boys peeing. Why don't they have Toddler potties in the Restrooms or stools for toddler boys to stand on to pee?

  1. they assume all boys go to mans room, and all gals go to ladies room. its just that simple.

  2. I'm not a Mom yet, but my aunt is and she totally agrees with you. Because every time she goes out with her son, she has to lift him up. But sooner or later, you wont have to do that anymore!! [=

  3. Actual potties would be a nightmare to keep clean.  Stools would be reasonable, but there might be worries about people tripping on them.

  4. I feel all public places that children frequent should have family restrooms. 1 mens, 1 ladies and 1 family, where parents can take their child to potty.

  5. I see where you're coming from.  They should have a stall where around the toilet there is a wooden platform.  They did this at my mom's daycare and it makes the toilet shorter and easier for aim.

I don't know why they don't have them, but maybe you should go to somebody who can help get them there.

  6. Be the first to architect a bathroom in your facilities. Be your own boss.

Write to all Corporations in one email. Like McDonalds, Shopping Malls.

Get a petition going on in your home state/town.

  7. In the malls where we live there are family restrooms made for a parent and a small child. In the "privite" family rest room there are two toilets side by side. One is the regular size and the other is "junior" size. They even have a smaller sink. I think these family restrooms are great ideas and I would love to see them where ever I go.

  8. even a small urinal would work....the fear of tripping on it wouldn't be there, he could still stand to pee and it wouldn;'t be so hard to clean.

  9. Yeah that would be nice. At the very least they could put a step stool in there. I also think there should be family restrooms in every public place. It makes it easier for anyone with kids. I'm a single mom of a 5 year old boy so I still don't feel comfortable sending him in the mens room alone because of weirdos but pretty soon it will be awkward to take him in the ladies room.

  10. Hahaha! Where I live, they do have children's toilets. The also have old-style toilets for traditional people (the one that's a fancy hole in the floor)...give it time, I'm sure they'll catch up! Your son and his wife won't have nearly as much hassle as you are having!

  11. occasionally you can find a place that has a "family bathroom" that has both an adult and a kids toilet. the way my 33 month old does it is to stand on the seat and hold onto the tank  lid or handicapped grab bar. holding onto something behind the seat leans them over slightly so thier equiptment is aimed the right direction. My son is just now starting to use a stepstool at home!

  12. where i live they have tiolets that are child size so i dont have that problem
