Why don't they just trade Favre? Isn't that the simple solution to all this drama?

Why in the heck don't they just trade him and be done with all this c**p? Can you imagine the distraction that this is causing the team? Especially Aaron Rodgers!

If they don't want him around and don't want him to compete for his job, just trade him so he can get on with his career. Even the commissioner Roger Goddell said so, so why won't management just cut their losses and trade the guy? Are they that fearful that he may come back to haunt them?

LET THE MAN PLAY BALL ALREADY!!!!

  1. that's what their plan is! they only say they're gunna let him compete for the job to shut him, and the media up!

  2. Because he could pull of a Skippractice Trade Void thing and do this until he gets to the Team he wants to start for Who are in Minnesota

  3. because hes an ****** and will become a cancer to any team hes traded too.

and lets face it hes not worth as much as the packers would like on the trade market. if they get a second round pick they'd be lucky.

  4. Favre has been attempting to dictate his future with the Packers management, and it just ain't working.  He tried to force his way back in as starting QB, and that didn't work, and then he tried to force their hand into a trade with Minnesota, and that didn't work either.

There's WAY more to this story than you are reading.

  5. Very True Very True.

  6. They have to trade him to a team that Brett Favre is willing to play for. Brett Favre actually wanted to play for the Vikings but it's impossible no way the Packers have Favre show them up twice plus in the postseason. If anything they have to trade him to a team that sucks but Brett Favre will refuse to play and the team that acquired Brett Favre would lose draft picks. It is a huge distraction but it didn't have to be a huge distraction. If they had brought Brett Favre back (because they are superbowl contending) and put their egos aside than this wouldn't be a problem.

  7. a. Because he's being a complete ***hole about it (similar to manny ramirez)

    b. Because up until now, he's been this great guy who's been a packer all the way, and everyone knows him for just loving the games as opposed to just begging for different contract aspects

    c. Because the main team that wants him right now and is willing to trade anything decent is a huge rival, and the Packers aren't about to give up a star quarterback under contract to a rival team just because he's throwing a hissy fit
