Why don't they make cordless phones with a higher ghz like they use to now its 5.8

i use to take it outside the old ones had a higher range these you go so many feet from the base n it dies

  1. Dect 6.0 is the new way to go, you can find them cheap from a closeout store like www.consumerdepot.com


  2. the spectrum (ghz) that a phone uses is not reliant on its age, its the company that leases the frequency from the FCC. some frequencies get better reception then the other

  3. because HIGHER frequencies provide LESS range... why would you want them to make a phone with a higher frequency then 5.8???

    get a 1.9Ghz DECT phone and you will have plenty of range.. and plenty of battery life as well...  

  4. how about trying the DECT 6.0....!

    which is  1.9 GHz
