We got these guys in prison, like the CEO of TYCO. Why don't we make them work on programs and projects that will better our society, instead of having them sit in a room for five years waiting to get trained by D-Block?

  1. First of all we don't make harden criminals work for us...and they have violate and hurt others so why should we make people who stole money from companies work for us?

  2. You ask a very good question.  White collar workers such as the CEO of Tyco should be forced to make restitution, but aren't.  In some cases, where they've been smart and hidden the money they've bilked out of both their employees and the public, they are not even made to pay it back.

Because these guys are some of the most intelligent and capable, they should be held to a higher standard.  They should have to make restitution, AND do community service to make up for their wrongs.  Because of their intelligence and education and standing in the community they have done what they did out of greed and manipulation, and opportunity.  Others in prison have committed crimes because they are poor.  Not the case with CEOs.  JMO...

  3. because they would probably steal from the same orgaziations they are to be helping.

  4. Because prisons are being privatized, and their labor is already being sold to internet stores and others.

  5. Because the skills they have - and some of them, despite being immoral, are also VERY skilled - would be of use in jobs that are reserved for members of the Public Employees unions - and those Unions give HUGE sums of money to Democratic politicians every year to make sure that they don't allow anyone other than Union members to do those jobs.
