  4. As the saying goes, "Anything too good to be true, usually isn`t true..."

Ones I looked into had so many 'catches' and 'signed agreements', specified hours you were required to work at your computer. Days off were even iffy!!

  5. Erica,

The other posters are correct. In my experience, all "work from home" jobs are a scam.

However, I started a Mary Kay business over 3 years ago and make GREAT money at that. I only spend about 3 hours a week at it and I've been able to reduce the hours at my day job! I've got the same goal as you - to be able to completely work from home and Mary Kay has given me the light at the end of the tunnel. On average, I make between $50-$150/hour and since it's my business, if I want to put more time in to it in order to make more money...I can!

I'm more than happy to share more info on the opportunity with you if you are interested. My e-mail is: kymberleezimmer@marykay.com

  7. Because they typically are not real.  Legitimate companies do not send out spam mail or advertise on banner ads to attract workers. They typically don't even have to advertise at all because there are so many out there that desire work from home jobs. People are usually searching them out. One rule I follow is if they request a fee and/or do not provide details of a position I run the other way. None of the companies I have worked for have ever asked me to pay any type of fee. To get good information about legitimate companies go to http://www.workathomedesk.com which is a free site that also has a frequently updated jobs leads. There are many companies that offer jobs that do not require sales phone work.  Good luck!

  8. There are a lot of scams out there, so it's important to be careful. However, one thing I've found that works and is completely legitimate is Affiliate Marketing. It's really easy and can make you a whole lot of money--even if you're a complete newbie to it. It's sort of like data entry, but can make you much more money. Check out the site below to learn more about it.
