Why don't we all boycott Shell and Exxon indefinately? Esso and Canadian Tire in Canada?

umm if your referring to "destroying them" by physically destroying their property then that is a crime you will go to jail.

and whats wrong with them anyway why would you want to destroy the companies that supply the gas for the car that i bet you drive every day. i would like to see you live one week without them or without using your car at all.

That's what I have been saying for some time now, but a one or two day gas out will not work, if we boycott one oil company for 1 month, it will work because they will have to lower there prices to make room for the inventory coming in, Lets say company A is selling gas and company B is not, then company B will lower there price to beat company A price, then there are price wars between company A and B... Lets just say we try for June 1st for the boycott, if we do this our lives will still be normal, we can still buy gas, just not from a certain g*y company.

I think many people just sort of admit they 'cant win' & take what is given to them, considering the options.

Too much $$$ tied up in Canada for/with oil companies and the government; too powerful to stop.  Do you have enough in your bank account to start the court battle?

won't work.

There would just be long lines and shortages of gas at the stations that you are not boycotting. It would raise the price at those stations and shell and Exxon would just sell their gas to the stations you are not boycotting.

The problem is not the oil companies. They have little if no control over the oil prices.

OIL IS GLOBAL. It is traded on the global market based on supply vs demand.

We have to find a way to do without it.

We do. We like ARCO and the independents in our area

Some are good. The prices are at the highest and gouging is going on
