Why don't we dance anymore?

Notice how little kids will break out into random dancing or singing in front of strangers in public areas? Why is it that adults lose this sense of expressing happiness?

  1. I don't have the dancing gene in me, but as far as expressing happiness...

    Life is too stressful.

This reminds me of that Midnight Oil song, something like, "how can you dance when the world is turning, how can you sleep when your beds are burning?'

Far too many people are sad or depressed. We work long hours and don't have the energy to enjoy the rest of our day.

I've heard other countries think us Americans are crazy for working so much.  But what choice do we have? The rich keep getting richer. Middle class households now have two incomes, both partners must work.

Like it or not this lifestyle really got going with Nixon, then Reagan. Then Bush Sr., and Jr.. Almost 40 years of bad politics.

The rich get richer, the poor get poorer and the middle guy forgot how to dance because he/she was too d**n tired.

  2. a lot of kids dont have fully developed brains.

  3. Society drains the soul of out human beings.

  4. because adults think that by doing so they will be judged, and looked down upon because they are acting 'immature' and 'childish' instead of embracing childlike wonder. adults are too worried about reputation, and what other people think about them, while children don't really think/care about this.

    :(

i prefer to still burst into song in front of my friends. it makes the mood happier and more enjoyable
