Why don't we eat swans?

We eat chickens, ducks and geese, but how come swans evade our dinner plates?

swans are commonly considered a majestic creature and therefore not seen as a dinner item. However people do still often eat them. mostly on farms.

actually, in sweden they are a popular dish, especially for festive events such as christmas.

they also drink swan blood, believe it or not.
