  1. Actually, a lot of people do get acne on their scalp. It is a condition called seborrhea. It is commonly cured with shampoo infused with tar extract.

But to your question, I believe that this happens because of the pore size differences, and hair matters to. Most people have a lot of hair on their head, which comes from the pore. The hair holds the pores open more. This allows more dirt in, which causes acne, but since it holds it more open, blackheads and whiteheads do not form as easily. Also, It allows the shampoo used to clean the pores more efficiently.  On the face, the pores are smaller, so dirt in the pores are harder to remove.

  2. Well, it's rare but some people do.

Also, how many people do you see touch their scalp often? Our fingers are more oily than basically anything....

Other than that, its kind of weird, our hair has oil too...?

  5. some do u just cant see it

  6. Some people do...

Scalp Acne: Since the scalp is skin, it follows that you can get breakout even there.

Acne breakouts on the scalp can be annoying, but are easily treated the same way you

would treat any other breakout. You can use a skin cleanser containing salicylic acid on a

cotton ball and apply it only on the breakout area. Most of these cleansers are very

stripping and will dry the hair out completely, so keep to the target area and rinse the

cleanser thoroughly. As an option, and since many people with acne breakouts on the

scalp also have oily scalp conditions, you can use your oily scalp shampoo and follow up

with an astringent or acne treatment containing salicylic acid applied directly on the

blemish area with a cotton ball or pad.

It is important to remember that you don't want to use those acne products

containing benzoil peroxide or other peroxide ingredients on the scalp because of the

potential for altering the hair color. This is doubly important if you have color-treated or

chemically-textured hair which is already more porous than virgin (untreated) hair.

  7. Freak.

  8. you do, you just cant see the pimples.

  9. You sweat from you head as well as the rest of your body, and pimples or acne tend to develop around sweaty areas. Which means, if your head is sweaty, you will probably have pimples/acne.

  13. i do get weird little irritated bumps that I guess could be considered acne on my scalp... not as bad as on my face but I still get them... so yeah...

  14. you get it you just dont see it with hair on your scalp covering it.

  15. Most people do.

  16. some people do. maybe because there is hair covering it (in most cases) so its harder for dirt to get down in the pores.

  17. Some people do, usually around the edges of the scalp.
