  1. many people give to the less  fortunate.some much more than  greedy rich folk.the problem as you say there are so many that need help that  us givers cannot keep up to the demand.. and goverments keep telling charities that they are doing a good job. my recently elected mla has gained about 15 lbs. since he was elected

  2. Those shows give away millions of dollars because advertising companies pay them even more money to make the show.

Come up with a way that giving to charity earns the big corporations a profit, and they will be happy to do it.

  3. Money is easy to give. If you really want to give, give some of your time.

  4. Really? I believe in sharing, but it is called free will my naive friend. It just goes to show where people in America's priorities lie...

  5. I know how that sounds.  I think businesses that donate money to people is a better solution.

check this one out: www.donspowermall.com and check out presentation

  6. becouse everyones stupid thats y they do everthing...the only people in this owlrd who have hearts give to charity me and some of my friends were collecting food for the homelss and we relized that the people who looked more needy gave more and sometimes the richer looking people gave nothing(CAN YOU BELEIVE THAT!!) If everyone new what it was like to be poor...like who wants to be a millionar...have u ever seen a poor person on that show...or deal or no deal...just the big shots or people who look like they already have ok money...mabe its just me but i think most of us are kind of inconsterate

  7. Americans love money. Some people do give money to charity though. I give money to charities on a regular basis and I do volunteer work for a non-profit organization. If I won the lottery I would give half of it to charities. No one NEEDS millions of dollars to survive.

  8. Tell you two things...

Once an old guy with a relatively young one came asking for charity. My friend came to door and tried to pull them off but that guy never left and when we gave him £1 he said thats not enough I need £5 minimum. I said, is this charity for you to buy Aston Martin or is it for people you're representing. Then I said, I will buy food for a hungry person but will not give you charity so bugger off. The extract is, the future is charity...These NGO's (non-govt organizations) which run on govt fund get their enormous profits this way. What the deserving gets? Another kick...

After Tsuami, and all these shows on BBC, people clapping after every million pound they got, people who suffered are in a much worse condition. If you see them, trust me you'll be all tears.

So, in the end...if one is in favour of charity, He/she doesn't have my vote. I would rather stay in background than limelight and serve or help in whatever way possible even if it means helping a blind cross the road or giving a lift to an elderley person in severe cold I'd do that regardless of time, event, or incident.

  9. You could read most of the most relevant verses from the holy Quran/Koran on charity. http://www.progressive-muslim.org/zakat-...

Giving charity is one of the most important things to do for the cause of God only and not for show off.

  10. Good point.

Create a game show where the winners get to choose which charity his winnings go to. I'm sure it would still have viewers. During the show the host could give two short promotions about charities around the nation which are worthy of support.
