Before cars were invented people used to ride horses. Why don't we do that? We wouldn't have to worry about gas prices or polluting the air. Or we could walk, there both more natural. Plus, were getting to lazy. Sorry, if the spelling is off.

  1. cars are faster and they don't p**p. = )

  2. Because Bicycles are much cleaner, cheaper, easier to maintain and way more practical on city streets!

I am already living the dream!

  3. giddup horsey

  4. well they're old fashion and people are afraid that it can cuase huge destruction!

  5. because thing's are far, and the weather is cold. i like horses but not when i have to do everything on them.

  6. Horses are quite impractical. Today we are faced with security and a quicker pace that horses can not provide. Times have changed and instead of having the city change to accommodate horses they should restructure cities to accommodate pedestrians and bikes.

  7. I ride. I have horses and love them. But I dont ride my horse to work!

    Let's be realistic!

Just a little tidbit.... horse manure carry no diseases harmful to humans. Horse poo is mainly water and hay and/or vegetation.

And. if you have ever been to a horse barn or walked around in a pasture field... horse manure is picked through by birds and tiny flies until there is barely anything left (all within one day!!)

  8. all the **** the horses produce would litter the roads and spread diseases.

  9. Horses my be good in theory but not in practice.

  10. Have you ever ridden behind a horse?  Don't tell me about no pollution.

Ever seen pictures of 19th century cities?  There was horse p**p and sewage EVERYWHERE.   Out in the street - people just walked right through it.  It spread disease everywhere.

Horses have to eat you know.  They require quite a bit of hay.  If everyone had one (a family of four would need four horses) we'd have to turn the whole d**n country into a hay field.

  11. Expensive

    Impractical

    Slow

    Slavery of non-human animals

    Messy

  12. because of rising food prices. you won't be able to afford the oats. besides that, the government would try to tell you what king of shoes the horse had to have and what the reins could be made of, then there would be the personal property taxes just like cars. the states still wouldn't fix the potholes, so the horse would probably break its leg. but the mennities and the amish people seem to get along fine using horses and buggys.

  13. I think you are still free to buy one if that is what you wish to do. If you want to ride a horse then ride a horse, that could be your solution if you think that would be better.

I drive 40 miles to work and prefer to use a car so I will continue to do that as long as I am free to do so.

  14. are you serious,in New York you can't find a place to park your car let alone a place for a horse, some people can't look after a gold fish for a week without killing it imagine what they would do to a horse,we can hardly feed the billions of people on this planet imagine throwing in a few billion horses, some people work 2 hour drive from their homes how fast can you ride a horse, nice romantic idea but really how many years do you think it would take to even come close to getting even enough horses to have just one in each garage, time to wake up and smell to horse p**p.

  15. Because...they're VERY expensive.
