Why don't we have AFL live cover friday night?

ch 7 have the rights but as usual free to air is c**p foxtel show it live on ch 518 but only to people in Sydney Canberra and Brisbane all other Foxtel users in other states don't get to see a replay until 11pm as they cant show it as ch 7 has the rights

Good question - if ch10 had the rights I could understand because they have big brother friday night live on which is a high rating program.

Ch7 have the rights on fridays and have better homes and gardens which is also a good rating show but at 8:30 there is only a movie and usually an ordinary one at that. Maybe paytv has the live rights on friday (not sure) but this often happens with sport - one channel has the live rights and another the replay rights. Otherwise I don't see why they wouldn't have a one hour delay telecast starting at 8:30. I would be happy with that.

Because even the TV stations cant stand "aerial pingpong" on a friday night.
