Using the sea/waves as an alternative source of energy?

Because hydro energy isn't as accesable as the other alternative energy sources.think about it, some people live a long way away from the sea and it would take more energy to harness hydro energy AND send it to all the other energy requiring homes.

Depends where you live. In Canada we started piping in sea water to most of the downtown buildings maybe 5 years ago now. Not all cities, the larger ones like Toronto for sure, even where I live which is a smaller city. They pipe in deeper sea water and circulate it through the buildings as a coolant. Quite effectively actually. At least its a totally natural way to cool without air conditioning.

you have a good point. that is a pretty good source of energy. we are, however hearing a little more about it every day, especially in oregon and D.C. however, scientists are being cautious, because they don't no if certain methods of using this as and alternative energy source could be harmful to ocean life. only time will tell...

before any environmental politicians make sure it doesn't hurt their lobbyists
