Why don't we use more nuclear power?

Nuclear power is, by far, the cheapest and most sustainable source of energy that we have right now. We've come a long way since Three Mile Island, both in our technology and in our safety measures. We know how to properly dispose of nuclear waste in a way that is safe and environmentally friendly, so why don't we built more nuclear power plants?

Plus, they do not make enough money in operation to cover the build & disposal cost, unless they are subsidised by governments with nuclear wepons programmes.

Yes nuclear power is just as clean as wind energy.  I agree nuclear power would be an excellent option.   However, the waste is extremely toxic.  You know the saying, "Not in my backyard".  Where do we dispose of the waste, safely?

Three Mile Island, as played in the media, scared the gullible public into believing the enviro-n***s' portrayal of nuclear power as an evil beyond all evils.   Granted, the disposal of waste is an issue, but it is an issue that will be resolved in the not too distant future by researching improved methods of handling it.  Eventually, the waste will be neutralized and disposed of in a safe manner rather than stuffing it down a big hole.

I hope they build one next to me, my vacations at Chernobyl are great, no lines, no crowds, nice and quiet.  The best part is no lights, glow in the dark saves money.

But nuclear waste is danger for our Earth. Where you dump all the Nuclear Waste. If dump in Land it will spoil our Earth soil/Water. If you dump in sea. We can not expect Rains. Becuase Seas is main thing for Rain.

It is better to forget Nuclear Power and we have think alternative for this.

See the incident which occur in Chernobyle in Russia. Leakage in Nuclear Powe Plant cause  many deaths and still children are having Birh defects.

The main problem with nuclear power is the waste. Actually we have more power plants than any other country. Namely the United States Navy. After 3 mile Island there was such a stigma towards nuclear power and the other forms of power such as coal was so much cheaper that most power plants went to coal. You should see a big change in the near future on the building of new power plants.
