Why don't we use solar energy more?

It's an awesome source of energy. So why don't we use it!?

Maybe if it's used to produce ammonia(energy storage), its cost will become sustainable...

Well, as long we have oil and other resources to burn, humankind will never use solar energy massively, it's all about money making, that's why Bush invaded Iraq you know.

Solar energy is not "only for rich", rofl, if you know how things work, you can build it yourself.

But people like using Wind to get energy, cause it's easier to build the devices for it.

well,,its nice to use solar energy because we can save our energy and also we can less our payments specially in consuming energy, but the problems is we dont have any materials to have a solar energy..

Agree! Sadly somehow we have gradually become so accustomed to the quick and easy "fix" by just pushing a button for comfort that we now have ourselves in a mess. Going green (solar) is not initially quick & easy, but investing in the effort will pay off for everyone. The world would be so much better if we embraced our natural resources and had no garbage! It takes a generation of youth with the energy and committment to undertake this effort along with my generation of old tree huggers for the wisdom of experience to make it work!

It requires a h**l lot of number of solar plates  to produce a small amount of electricity, also during snowfall, rains or cloudy weather it usually fails, who knows with the advancement in technology we could find some other way to utilise solar energy

IS cost much more. at this moment solar energy is for RICH people, and yet there don't use much. there is many Solar power , any countries government use that  ? ( just less than 3 % some countries use that ) maybe anotrher 20 years,if cost is much lower. egg, solar water heater is cost USD 3,000 + , but you can buy any other type as low as 100 USD.
