Why don't women listen to reason?

Why is it when you p**s off a woman she fails to listen to your reasons for doing what you did even though you had a valid motive? Do they not understand the principals of communication?

Do you not understand the principles of self-determination?  Just because she listened, it doesn't mean she agreed, or decided to go along with you.  That's her perogative.  And why does it only p**s you off when it's women?  It'd p**s me off whoever it was  :-)

i agree with Monti... it all depends on your girl... just let her blow off some steam then try to talk about it later... if she still doesn't want to listen then oh well... your best bet is just to say your right and im wrong.. she'll be sooo happy that you said she was right that she'll forget everything.

Usually the valid motive and explanations from men come after they've pissed us off and we don't want to listen to more dumb excuses.  That's all men do, pass gas and excuses.  Maybe you should look up reason in the dictionary LOL.

You know, when your right, your right -no matter your gender.  However, men are usually the ones bad with communication.  That's why women live longer and have more phone time usage..  Motive, doing what you did?, -maybe she's pissed because you didn't respect her opinion and asked her before doing this deed.  We're not your mother but we should be your partner..

Like cheating, seen people with all kinds of excuses for it..when the truth is there is no excuse.

Some people are just overly emotional, too possessive or simply hard to reason with.  That goes for women as well as men.

But otherwise, it works both ways.  Try seeing it from her perspective (why she would be mad at you, why would she not find your reason valid?)  If you see it from her perspective and can sympathize with her she will be more likely to consider your argument, or find it reasonable

Maybe its not always her who isnt understanding the principles of communication.

Part of the principles of communication would include a precise explanation of exactly what it is you do to "p**s her off" and how she reacted to what was done. As we don't have that here or her side of the story, it's pretty hard to just give you a pat on the back and say "Women! Can't live with 'em...."

Because what men consider "reason" usually begins with the phrase, "You know what's wrong with you?"  And because most of you don't think with your real brains (the one between your ears, not your pockets), your reasoning is aways suspect.

Because they like drama and if you have a valid reason for your action, then they have no reason to nag and fuss (which they like to do).

That's why anytime a woman walks away or refuses to listen, I say something like "Your walking away because your WRONG". That's assuming I care enough to do ANYTHING.
