  1. The definition of god is filled with flaws..  I can not believe in something that is so poorly defined.  The lack of evidence is another reason.

  2. No credible evidence for a deity.

  3. They're crazy...

  4. I believe in god

  5. cause there isn't any evidence. and why should there be a god? plus i see that its human nature to create answers for things that are hard to understand or unexplainable at the time. thats why religion exists, for example people are scared of dying and what will happen so they made up a god to give them hope of an afterlife. all cultures do it, look at the Mayans, Aztecs, Incas, Native Americans, European cultures in the past. its human nature to make up a god(s). religion and god(s) is a cultural phenomenon.

  6. I found there is no reason to believe in anything at all. And when you think about it, we really are not made to believe in anything in the first place. I realized this idea of belief does not make any sense.

Are you a parent or have you been around small children for any length of time? They do not believe in things simply by their nature. I tell my son not to touch the stove because it will burn his finger, and when I am not looking he touches it, he burns his finger, and the next time I tell him not to touch the stove, he no longer has to believe me that it will burn him, he has already proven that reality for himself the last time. He is now choosing not to touch the stove because it hurts to burn his finger. But, if he was made to just believe what he was told, he would have never touched the stove in the first place. He did not believe me, he tested it for himself. Even now he does not really believe that the stove will burn him, he knows it will. Just as he now knows that if he plays ball in the house he might break something, that if he leaves his bike outside all winter it will rust, and if he does not finish his dinner he will not have ice cream for dessert. I tried to tell him! LOL So it's not really even understandable why people say we need to believe in things, when our very nature is not wired that way.

Another example, I hate to pick on my kids, but they are a constant source of both education and entertainment, anyway, my teen son for example, I tell him that he needs to be very careful as he is a young driver, because it is still new to him and other drivers on the road have been driving much longer and might not follow all the rules and such. He says ok and he might even be thinking, that based on the fact that I have been right before, (but remember that is only because he chose to test another "theory" that I would not ground him for breaking his curfew, and I did),he should probably exercise some caution  as he drives through town. But it won't be until someone pulls out in front of him causing him a sense of alarm perhaps, that he will have seen for himself, thus proven to himself, that what I told him was indeed the case. You would think that after all the years my kids and I have been at this, they would just stop trying everything out for themselves and believe me right?

They can't. At best, my daughter might choose to make her curfew so she does not get grounded like her brother did, but it is STILL not because she believes I will ground her as I say I will, it is because she has proven to herself by seeing her brother who is staying home, that she needs to be in on time.

I say all this to say this. When it comes to God or the Creator or Higher power or whatever name fits for someone, there is no reason to just believe in His existence because there is no way to prove it based on religion or any other belief system. After coming to the awareness that if I wanted to know for myself  that there was a force that was responsible for the creation of the world and all that exists in it, I was going to have to find a way to prove it. No amount of people telling me it was true was going to show me its validity.

I found a way to do just that. For me it was the only thing that was going to allow me to get the answers I was looking for regarding this thing I called God. I found a method, a science, that enables me to know and test for myself, the reality of all existence and the purpose for it. I linked a site that describes what this method is and what it is not. You labeled yourself an agnostic and as such, this might be something that really interest you. Best wises.

Ok ok., where am I going with all this? I once chose this idea of religion and God, as He was explained to me by other people, and I was even willing to say I believed in those things because in all honesty I wanted to feel better. But after time and things still not making sense, I realized that no matter how hard or how long or desperatly wanted to believe, I just couldn't. Now I know why. We don't really believe in anything else in this life, we always look at something and evalute if it is measurable to what our expectations say and make a judgement from there. That is the best we can do. At times this has to be good enough as we are not always able to get to a lab or travel the globe or whatever it takes in order to prove what it is we are trying to establish at truth.

But...this idea of God, I once thought I could believe in, then realized I could not without proof, was the only thing that I was not willing to

  7. No evidence= no reason to assume one exists in the first place.

  8. There is no evidence for God's existence.

  9. No proof, no need.

  10. There is ABSOLUTELY NO credible, verifiable, tangible, concrete, irrefutable evidence of anything that might be called a 'god'. Believing in something for which there is no evidence is my definition of delusional.

  11. Yes I do :)

  12. i don't believe in him because i never felt holy or safe or whatever your suppose to feel when you believe in god

my grandma is a Jehovah's witness and is always telling me about god i just think when i die i'll be dead no heaven no h**l just gone my dad died and i felt i should believe in god but i just can't i doesn't feel right my intermediate isn't religious so i dont feel weird  my mom is a nurse and belives in god. Also who knows if GOD is even real some crazy guy could of wrote the bible.

its real hard to explain. i tried my best.

  13. I don't believe in God because I cannot accept that an omnipotent, omniscient and loving God could have sat around for thousands of years watching his creations butcher one another in his name and not call a halt to the slaughter.

He cannot exist. If he did he would not allow religious wars.

  14. i'm agnostic too.  i dont see a point to believing in something that hasnt been proven.  i trust science because people can (for the most part) back it up.  as for religion, its all based on the fact that someone said that some magic being told them to do something, there is no way to prove that since its all hearsay

  15. A = A

  16. No reason to believe in god or gods.

  17. No evidence for, ever. Plus, the tales in the claimed holy book are so rife with errors and falsehoods, that anyone with a working brain cannot take it seriously as being anything other than a collection of badly edited MYTHS.

  18. The General Theory of Religion has never been proved to me. Whereas the Scientific Laws of the Universe and Biological Evolution have.
