  1. I am sure you meant the TXT message, but in case you did  not check your phone for the code it is a 5 digit number  if on the website

If you went thru Yahoo messenger it is a 4 digit code they will send you

let's try  going thru yahoo messenger  that seems to be the easiest

    Open messenger

    >>>Messenger (menu)

    >>>>Go to Preferences

    >>>>>Select General Tab

Go to the Bottom and click on EDIT MOBILE

once you click on that  a Pop up window  will have you put in phone number

a text msg will be sent to your phone with a 4 digit Verification Code

once you put in the code Yahoo messenger will then be able to be sent to your phone

There is a box that can be checked that says

sign into yahoo mobile when you sign out of messenger - it is RECOMMENDED you check that - It goes in and out just perfectly and I love it..

HINT : Yahoo Oneconnect is coming  that promises to make Messaging GREAT!
