  1. in mma the ppl almost all of them r in the same league there is no one so amazing hed kill em all but in boxing there r ppl that r just far too amazing for the others an it is a while be4 someone of that calibar rises that is why champ boxers make more but the other boxers make almost nuttin comparitively

  2. First off, the wealth of talent in the fast growing mma community means that champs are constantly challenged.

Secondly, mma is so much more physically demanding than boxing.

Lastly, rarely do you see boxers fight more than once a year. Mixed martial artists routinely fight 2, 3 even four times a year. With that many fights, it becomes a numbers game. At the level of say a UFC contender, anyone can beat anyone on any given day.

  3. Because professional Boxing matches happen very rarely and is usually very glamorous, like in Las Vegas or something. MMA matches on the other hand, can happen more regularly as they have a place with the cage in it. Boxing matches have to be organized months before. And, like UFC shows air more often, which means, they get to fight more often..which lso increases their chances of losing the belt. Unlike boxers who keep the belt for months and then get a match and if they win, they'll fight about a year later again or something.

  4. because in boxing all your doing is boxing, so if your a better boxer than everyone else in your wieght your probably going to be the champ for a while i.e. Floyd Mayweather.

In MMA on the other hand theres so many different techniques you can use, boxing, kickboxing, muay thai, karate, wrestling, greco roman wrestling, sambo, bjj, etc, etc. No matter who you are the person your fighting is probably better than you at atleast one of those styles so everyone you fight has a decent chance at beating you.

Boxing is like checkers, theres only one type of piece and only a few things they can do.

MMA is chess wheres theres alot of different pieces and you can use them in a ton of different ways.

  5. Because boxing is fixed?

  6. Because boxing is just punchin and standup thats all they need to know. But MMA there is multiple martial arts to it, and the champion most likely is really good at 1 or a few of the thinks. Like say Anderson Silva went back to middle weight and fought Joe Lauzon, Silva would kill him on his feat and maybe on the ground but there is a possibility that Joe Lauzon could submit him... You see what im gettin at?

  7. many reasons for this, but ill give the 2 biggest reasons. 1. in boxing a boxer and his promoter are in charge of his own career and while they do have to follow rules as to how long they can go without fighting a true "contender" they have much more say in who they fight and generally (not always) avoid the dangerous fighters as long as possible. 2. boxing unlike mma is a very limited form of fighting, therefore it is easier to master your skills and people who do are very hard to beat. but in mma, it is very rare to be able to master all the different techniques involved, and eventually you come into contact with someone who has superior skills then you in at least one of these areas, and with how open the sport is being superior in even 1 technique provides the opponent with a chance to win.
