  1. Well we know that they can not do that because it would not be cost effective for them.  What with the cost of medication, medcial insurance etc.  Also they would have to employ doctors and nurses.  Doctors to write the prescriptions and evaluate your health nurses to monitor you in flight.

That being said however, you can visit your doctor if you have a fear of flying and he or she can write you a prescription for a sedative for the flight.  I would not suggest this if you are flying alone.

I too have a fear of flying.  I took a sedative once while flying alone and had a reaction to the sedative I ended up being removed from the plane in Anchorage Alaska and placed in the hospital.  Not a good thing.  So be careful what you take before flying.  Altitude does strange things to medication and alchol effects,

I still have to fly occassionally so what I do is make sure that I am well rested.  Well fed, and hydrated,  I wear comfortable clothing, and I bring a book, crossword puzzels or anything else to help pass the time.  I don't sit by the window either.

  2. if it will make MORE people fly, then the airlines will do it

this would have to be studied...........

  3. It would cost a lot of money to hire a doctor to review your medical records so that he will agree to give you a sedative.

Talk to a shrink about your phobia.
