  1. its so annoying, and that wen i use my card over the counter the bloody shop charges me 40p

    pffffttttttt!

    talk about money grabbers!

  2. A question of the design of the cashpoint I think.   Probably only has two hoppers inside  so these  are filled with     10 and 20 notes  .  withdrawals are all in  units of 10,   Dont know any where you can  get £25 or £35   for example.   So a £10 is not worth all that much  so why worry about changing it  ,  A fiver is only small money now,   Like 50p used to be

  3. Mine does.

Bear in mind that if the machine can hold 500 notes, it would hold a lot more cash value if there were larger denominations, meaning it doesnt have to be topped up so often.

  4. The cash machines used to dispense £5 notes. There is still the occasional ATM that still does dispense £5 notes. However, most banks now realise that £5 does not really have that much spending power anymore. Hence most banks fill the cash machines with £10 and £20 notes.

  5. You can at selected Barclays cash machines.

  6. I think this question's been asked before, and someone who works in a bank said that fivers aren't robust enough and would always tear causing the machinery to clog up.

  7. i work for a bank and they machines do have slots for fivers but the staff prefer not to stock them coz its up to their personal discreation.!!!!!   Its just extra work and not a lot of people use that £5 option.
